Clinton and Trump are in ‘dead heat’
Trump’s proposals, said Clinton, would deport 16 million immigrants now living in the United States, cost the country around $1 trillion in economic output and weaken a fundamental American value.

Many more voters said they believe Clinton is better prepared to be president – 50 percent, compared to 30 percent for Trump.
The survey gives the Democrat and Republican each 40 percent of American voters’ support, showing Clinton’s lead shrink to nothing despite being cleared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation over her email scandal.
As Donald Trump prepares to accept the Republican presidential nomination next week, the poll showed him in a dead heat with Clinton in a general election matchup.
Trump spent months “trying to discredit the citizenship and legitimacy of our first black president”, Clinton said.
“It’s like he’s giving up if he endorses her”, said Steve Rand, a hardware store owner from Plymouth, New Hampshire, before the two candidates took the stage.
“It’s reasonable to think that the attention that was paid to Mrs. Clinton and her non-indictment by the Justice Department may well have had something to do with that”. Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) and Clinton tied in second place with 11 times more hearts than scowls, while Trump trailed in last place with a ratio of 4-to-1. Sixty-two percent of voters also say they don’t think Trump fits that description.
The latest poll showed that Hillary Clinton seems to be suffering in swing states.
Americans trust Democrat Hillary Clinton more than Republican Donald Trump to handle numerous major issues facing the next president, an Associated Press-GfK poll shows.
Voters have strongly negative impressions of both candidates.
Trump leads Clinton by 17 points among white voters.
But in Pennsylvania, they were tied here, 40 percent to 40 percent. A little more than one week after FBI Director James Comey blasted Clinton’s “extremely careless” handling of classified material as secretary of state, the Times-CBS poll finds that a staggering 67% of voters say Clinton isn’t honest and trustworthy, although 62% say the same of Trump.
Trump’s advantages are far narrower but they come on issues that could pack a punch.

Given the error margin of about 3 per cent for these surveys, the newly published results indicate that the races are too close to call.
