Clinton and Trump hold competing news conferences

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton suffered another coughing fit on the campaign trail, immediately after she took the stage during a rally in Cleveland. We’re going to build the wall.

Trump told reporters on the way to Youngstown that the criticism of the speech had more to do with the crowd’s enthusiasm for addressing illegal immigration than his policy positions.

“There’s been one in the last month”, Kaine said.

Clinton said she was concerned about “credible reports about Russian government interference in our elections”, telling reporters traveling with her from OH to IL that “we are facing a very serious concern”.

“I expect to do all three”, Trump told reporters.

Plugging a new campaign book authored with running mate Tim Kaine entitled “Strong Together”, Clinton also praised unions during a Labor Day gathering in Cleveland by crediting them for things like higher wages, weekends, and growth of the middle class – items she says would be at risk during a Trump presidency.

Asked her Labor Day message, she said, “If you want more happy Labor Days you know who to vote for”.

She said she was prepared for the two months of intense political battle ahead. But he told journalists Monday that only something along the lines of a “hurricane” or “natural disaster” would keep him from participating.

On Monday, Trump’s deputy campaign manager David Bossie decried Clinton’s “terrible judgment, incompetence and dishonesty” – targeting one of the former first lady’s crucial weaknesses in the eyes of voters.

He said his focus for the final two months of the campaign will be mostly about how to create jobs for struggling middle-class Americans.”I’m all about the jobs now”, he said.

The first of three presidential debates that are expected to be the most watched moments of the election is just three weeks away. Trump said he is preparing for them the same way he did during the Republican primaries – including no mock debates, and nobody portraying his Democratic foe. “I did, obviously, I did well in the debates”.

The Republican Party seconded Trump’s objection, and Republican National Committee chief strategist and communications director Sean Spicer said the scheduling “was a dumb idea and should be revisited”. Her husband, former president Bill Clinton, is attending events in MI and Ohio.

He’s been accused of flip-flopping on the topic for a while now, so today, he simply said that under his rule, undocumented immigrants will be “going out so fast your head will spin”.

Clinton was arriving in OH and IL aboard a new blue-and-white Boeing 737 campaign plane emblazoned with her slogan, “Stronger Together”. The administration has been working with other countries to resettle detainees who have been cleared for transfer.

Pence was with him at a pair of campaign stops Monday.
