Clinton and Trump vie for world leaders’ attention in New York

Yet the occupant of the Oval Office will have the power to set the course of the nation’s approach to fighting the threat of such attacks at home and overseas.

“I know that even if you’re totally opposed to Donald Trump, you may still have some questions about me – I get that”, Clinton told a rally at Temple University in Philadelphia. This would be in addition to the tens of thousands of refugees accepted from around the world every year.

In a news conference on the tarmac of Westchester County Airport, the Democratic presidential nominee said she has been “part of the hard decision to take terrorists off the battlefield”, and contrasted her steadiness to what she called Trump’s “irresponsible, reckless rhetoric”. She argued, as she has before, that the United States needs to invest more in intelligence to combat lone wolf attacks.

Speaking in NY state, she quoted a former USA intelligence director, alleging that militants from the so-called Islamic State were using Trump’s hyperbole as a recruiting tool. The footage of her departure proved just how bad her condition was.

The Reuters-Ipsos poll also showed that Clinton’s bout with pneumonia a week ago does not appear to have scared away voters.

Fewer than half of those polled said Clinton and Trump were honest and trustworthy. “He keeps saying he has a secret plan”.

It’s also unclear whether the limited human toll of the weekend’s attacks will dilute their impact on an election still 49 days away – in an election season in which the narrative often seems to shift by the hour.

Clinton said Trump’s words are helping Islamic State because they want to recruit more fighters to their cause by “turning it into a religious conflict”.

Trump throughout much of the previous year has called for a ban on Muslims entering the United States.

“Everybody in the primary at one point or another tried to take Donald Trump down in the way you take someone down who says absurd things and none of them worked”, said Rick Tyler, a former aide to primary rival Sen.

“Politics can be discouraging”, she said.

Clinton has given speeches on defeating terror multiple times throughout the 2016 campaign, including policy-focused addresses in Minneapolis and NY earlier this year.

“Hillary Clinton’s comments today accusing Mr. Trump of treason are not only beyond the pale, it’s also an attempt to distract from her terrible record on ISIS”. She has promised to boost federal support for local law enforcement, a move she cites as a key to her strategy. “We need everyone off the sidelines”, she said. On Monday morning, when asked about websites that offer directions on how to build bombs, he said people who post such sites “should be arrested immediately”.

Democrat Clinton’s strongest support came in the heavily Democratic areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where she held a 58 percent to 28 percent advantage. Clinton said in an August speech that she would treat a cyberattack from an adversary “like any other attack” against the United States. She has called on the government to work with private institutions to protect against cyberattacks from countries like Russian Federation and China, while vowing to modernize the nation’s electric grid to address its vulnerabilities. After the Bern had been felt and the applause died down, Clinton was able to finish her point about her proposal to dramatically change students’ relationship to college costs. I also expect her to recover from whatever she has.
