Clinton and Trump virtually tied in new national poll

Wednesday polls from Fox News and Reuters showed Trump down 2 points in a four-way matchup against Clinton, Johnson, and Stein, while a poll from Rasmussen, a right-leaning polling outlet, showed him with a 1-point lead.

According to the Daily Mail, opinion polls showed Le Pen making it to an early May run-off in France’s presidential election but losing the second round to any of the leading party candidates.

Emphasizing her GOP support, Clinton’s campaign rolled out another Republican endorsement Wednesday, that of James Clad, former deputy assistant secretary of defense under President George W. Bush.

Clinton’s election in November would mean “geostrategic choices that will lead to world conflicts that threaten to be very heavy”, said Le Pen, who is herself vying for the French presidency next year.

In contrast, a majority of Donald Trump supporters say they probably or definitely will vote only for Republicans.

Her previous high for unfavorable views was in June, when 55 percent disliked Clinton.

But Mrs Clinton doesn’t fare much better. She is favored by 48 percent of likely voters to Trump’s 41 percent.

Both candidates have said they’d authorize Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

Peña Nieto did not refute Trump’s comment during their press conference, but he tweeted hours after that he told Trump that Mexico “will not pay for the wall”. The latest USC/Los Angeles Times poll has a 45 to 42 percent lead over Clinton. And the other major-party candidate, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, seems hardly palatable.

The Suffolk poll has a margin of error of 3 percentage points and was conducted from August 24 to 29 among 1,000 adults who said they were somewhat or very likely to vote in the general election.

Her popularity also fell among Democrats, going from 87 percent to 79 percent while among Independents, her approval fell by 8 points over the past month, 39 percent to 31 percent. Trump was viewed unfavorably among women by 65 percent to 33 percent.
