Clinton back on trail after releasing health info
Trump, 70, knows he could stand to lose a few pounds but otherwise is in great health, campaign adviser Sarah Huckabee Sanders told MSNBC on Wednesday after the Republican nominee taped an episode of the “Dr. Oz Show” in NY that will air on Thursday. She and Trump released reports from their physicians on Wednesday giving some details about their health.

“Taking a few days off helped me reconnect with what this whole campaign is about”, she said.
“The letter I read would be typical for a person running a company, and I think that’s pretty parallel – it’s not exactly the same, but pretty parallel to what you want to have, to judge if someone is going to be healthy enough to lead you”, Oz said on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday.
Trump’s running mate Mike Pence said he plans to release records from a recent physical examination Thursday.
His longtime physician Harold Bornstein had written a note earlier that said that if elected, Trump would be the healthiest president in history.
Meanwhile on Thursday, Trump delivered a speech in NY in which he vowed to boost the nation’s economy by at least 3.5 percent – well above current projections – and create 25 million new jobs over a decade. Trump’s campaign has not made a copy of the summary public ahead of the airing, nor is it certain he will do so after. In other election news, Donald Trump’s maternity-leave plan gets mixed reviews from US lawmakers.
Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have released new information about the state of their health after facing growing pressure to be open about their physical well-being.
There are just 54 days to go until election day, on November 8.
“I tried to power through it but even I have to admit, some rest would do me good”, Clinton said during a rally in North Carolina. She had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days prior but chose to keep it secret, a decision that blew up into concerns about her health and lack of transparency about her medical records. Voters say 68-31 percent that she has the right experience to be president and 65-34 that Trump does not have that experience.
Clinton used her absence from active campaigning since Sunday to reinforce her message to a supportive crowd in Greensboro, saying the time off gave her a chance to focus on the issues of supporting and protecting working families. The letter did not state when she received those vaccines.
Clinton’s return to the trail is sure to come with additional scrutiny and questions regarding her overall health.
The letter detailed her pneumonia diagnosis and declared her fit for the presidency.
Trump’s lab results were all normal with his liver and thyroid functioning normally, according to the letter from his doctor.
Her letter made no mention of her weight, a key part of a medical exam, nor did a similar letter released previous year. She has suffered a concussion some years ago, and a clot in her skull.

“I have a great deal of respect for Colin Powell, and I have a lot of sympathy for anyone whose emails become public”, Clinton said.
