Clinton camp to Trump: ‘Hell no’ on apology
The criticism from Sanders followed the third Democratic debate of the 2016 contest, held in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Saturday night.

Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders said in a television interview that the Democratic National Committee deliberately scheduled debates at times when viewership would be low in an effort to “protect” the party’s front-runner, Hillary Clinton. During Saturday’s Democratic debate, Clinton said ISIS is “going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists”.
Trump is pouncing. On Twitter the GOP frontrunner called Clinton a liar and touted his own record for telling the truth. I mean she made it up.
“She’s a liar and everybody knows that”, Trump said on Sunday.
“That was wrong and I apologized”, he said.
“Hillary Clinton suggesting that Donald Trump is being used in an ISIS recruiting video, man, talk about chutzpah”, Bush told conservative radio host Bill Bennett Monday. Had he noticed that only a minute earlier Sanders had apologized, and Clinton had accepted the apology and played down the issue? Stephanopoulos: “But to be fair, you don’t have a video, as she said”. “She will be a disaster as President of the United States”.
“If you’ve been watching television for the last month, all you have been seeing, all you have been hearing about is these guys with masks or black flags who are potentially coming to get you”, he said. Fox News went out in great detail and looked for it and there’s no such video.
“He’s becoming a very important recruitment tool for ISIS”, Podesta said, adding that it is all there on the social media.
The rising tensions between Clinton and Sanders, who have largely refrained from attacking each other, occurred at a crucial moment for Sanders, a democratic socialist who is trying to close the gap in the race six weeks before Iowa holds the first nominating contest.
Meanwhile, Trump reiterated that thousands of Muslims celebrated in USA and world over after al-Qaeda’s attack on the World Trade Towers.
“Thank you, and may the force be with you”, Clinton said in her closing words. Indeed, Katz told the Post, “ISIS didn’t feature Trump in a video, but ISIS supporters and recruiters have used Trump’s rhetoric to promote ISIS’ ideas and agenda”.
