Clinton Campaign Chief Suggests Russians May Be Trying to Help Trump Win
“Ironically, I think precisely because things have gotten better, what I’ve heard from younger African Americans is more shock about the images and the videos from Minnesota or Baton Rouge”, he said.

The Clinton campaign pushed a remarkable claim from “experts” that Russian hackers conspired to release the DNC emails just before the Democratic National Convention in an attempt to favor Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, said that the DNC would need to investigate the hack, including checking to see whether any emails were “doctored”, and that the party would “take appropriate action”.
The leaks have fanned internal ill-will and led the party chair to announce her resignation after the convention.
One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they can reference Bernie Sanders’ faith to weaken him in the eyes of Southern voters.
Mook told CNN’s Jake Tapper that “Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, and other experts are now saying that the Russians are releasing these emails for the objective of actually helping Donald Trump”.
The forensic firm CrowdStrike investigated the breach of the DNC firewalls and blamed two competing Russian intelligence hacker groups.
The furore was a blow to a party keen on projecting steadiness in contrast to the volatility of Republican nominee Donald Trump, who was formally nominated last week.
By contrast, Clinton’s main rival, Sanders, fully supports her – though the email scandal has complicated the relationship and adds to her challenge of bringing his supporters on board. His multiple past bankruptcies have reportedly resulted in him being blackballed by US banks, and some banks in other parts of the world, but a few banks are still willing to lend to him; the Wall Street Journal estimates that he owes something in the range of of $250 million to banks.
It’s important to note that this alleged Russian link hasn’t been confirmed: Theorists are going on inference and what we know of previous “Russian operations” as much as hard proof. And metadata from the released emails suggests that the documents passed through Russian computers. The Clinton campaign blamed Russian hackers for stealing the files to influence the elections. “And we’re giving them a free ride or giving them a ride where they owe us tremendous amounts of money”.
George Stephanopoulos, of “This Week”, asked Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign chairman. ‘I think we also need to be concerned that we also saw last week at the Republican convention that Trump and his allies made changes to the platform to make it more pro-Russian’.
“A number of them who are against a rigged system can find support in what Donald Trump has been saying, as far as what he wants to do, breaking up the rigged political system, the rigged economy”, he said. It also masked the uranium deal highlighted in the movie “Clinton Cash”, based on the book, a deal in which the Russians bought 20 percent of America’s uranium production as millions of dollars flowed to the Clinton Foundation and hundreds of thousands of dollars went to Bill Clinton personally. “Yeah, they are. He’s more conservative than I am”. Listening are vice presidential running mate Gov. Mike Pence, R-Ind., Karen Pence, and Charlotte Pence. Putin has at various points in the previous year called presidential candidate Donald Trump “a bright person”, and “absolutely the leader in the presidential race”.

There’s clear benefit to Mook and the Democrats to tie Trump to Putin, a benefit that can’t be ignored.
