By winning a solid victory in the Nevada Democratic caucuses Saturday, Hillary Clinton has righted her faltering campaign and heads into her party’s primary in SC next Saturday with crucial momentum.

According to The Guardian, “with 78.7% of precincts reporting, Clinton had 52.1% of the vote, to Sanders’ 47.8%”. Hillary Clinton has won the Nevada Democratic caucuses, the Associated Press projects.
“This is your win”, the former Secretary of State said in a tweet, thanking supporters.
Sanders said in a statement Saturday that he congratulated Clinton on her victory.
Behind them, Republican candidates Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Ben Carson could be vying in SC to keep their campaigns alive before the presidential race rapidly picks up steam in March when dozens of states hold nominating contests. The public mood has upended the usual political order, giving Sanders and Trump openings while leaving more traditional candidates scrambling to find their footing. Clinton won big among voters who valued electability and experience.

“You know, five weeks ago we were 25 points down in the polls, we have made some real progress”, he said in a speech to Nevada supporters. Questions about Sanders’ ability to win over Black voters have circled his campaign thus far, and will become imperative as the primaries hit those more diverse southern states.
“We are going to be taking on a very powerful and well-funded super PAC, a super PAC that receives significant amounts of money from Wall Street and wealthy special interests”, he said.
Clinton won a majority of those who said the economy or health care were their top issues, while those who said income inequality supported Sanders.

The contest moves next to SC, where Democrats vote on February 27, and then to other states across the country.
