Clinton emphasizing gun laws ahead of South Carolina primary

Clinton edged Sanders in Iowa and Nevada and is expected to win in SC on Saturday.

He says he’s not conceding the first-in-the-south primary to his rival, “We’re not writing off SC, now you all know that on March 1st there are a dozen states that are holding elections and the nature of the world is that we got to go out”, said Sanders. “Bernie Sanders, Secretary Hillary Clinton would have to undergo a political meltdown of historic proportions to lose this contest”.

In a recent CNN/ORC South Carolina poll of African-American voters, Clinton tallied 65% support compared to 28% for Sanders. The question then becomes where can Sanders score enough wins to derail Clinton’s delegate lead and her overwhelming margin in super delegates, the percentage of convention voters made up of party officials.

Her busy Thursday schedule follows a private fundraiser Wednesday in which Clinton was interrupted by a protester from Black Lives Matter, a group of mostly young activists that formed in response to several high-profile instances of black citizens dying or being killed during encounters with police.

In South Carolina days before the primary, Sanders continued his fight for working families and stressed the need to tackle poverty by increasing the minimum wage and creating more jobs.

“If the two races are still going [in April], we’re going to have a lot of fun”, poll director Charles Franklin said at an event announcing the poll.

“What really drew me to him was his longtime support for the LGBT community”, Tsao said.

Shame on the Democrats for being hoodwinked by Hillary Clinton. She holds a lead of 65% to 31% with 4% remaining undecided.

“You can’t pay any attention to all these awful things they say about her now”. One woman described how her once academically thriving son had been suspended dozens of times this year due to lead-related behavioral issues.

Tuesday also features primaries in Massachusetts, Oklahoma and Sanders’ home state of Vermont. In Massachusetts, Sanders is leading Clinton by 7 points, according to a Public Policy Poll poll conducted between February 14 and February 16.
