Clinton ‘Fit to Serve’ According to Doctor’s Report

Hillary Clinton began experiencing symptoms of what was later diagnosed as a “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia” nine days before the illness forced her to leave a 9/11 memorial ceremony, her doctor wrote in a letter released by her campaign on Wednesday.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went back on the campaign trail after staying at home for several days following a health scare at the September 11 memorial in New York City.

The former Secretary of State had a dizzy spell which forced her to leave a 9/11 ceremony in NY on Sunday and which also made her cancel campaign trips for three days, fueling suspicions that she’s dealing with some health issues.

“I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely”, Bardack added at the time.

Bardack included the results of various tests Clinton has had in the past month, including her cholesterol level and blood pressure.

The doctor also confirmed that Clinton takes medicine for a thyroid condition, as well as blood thinner Coumadin. Later Sunday, Clinton’s campaign revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia. In response to the controversy, Clinton’s team announced it would publically release her medical records. The Democratic presidential candidate faces increased scrutiny about her health after a video showed her staggering while getting into a van on Sunday.

Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis came at inopportune time for the former secretary of state, who spent the bulk of August fundraising in wealthy USA enclaves such as the Hamptons and Martha’s Vineyard, with only intermittent campaign events. The Democratic nominee’s own health has been under scrutiny as she’s been recovering from a bout of pneumonia.

She will also meet with foreign leaders during the UN General Assembly next week.

In the final stretch before the November 8 election, Clinton was slated to attend a rally in North Carolina and speak at a dinner in Washington.

A letter from Donald Trump’s personal physician says he is in “excellent physical health” and received normal results after a physical examination last week.

Hillary Clinton is back, and she is challenging Trump with a message that is going to be hard for his narrow and dark campaign to match. A CBS News/New York Times survey released Thursday found Clinton leads Trump among likely voters by only 2 percentage points – 46 percent to 44 percent.
