Clinton Foundation ‘Must Be Shut Down Immediately’

Taking a break from pondering the relationship status of cable news hosts, Donald Trump issued a statement Monday calling for a total shutdown of the Clinton Foundation.

Just hours before Trump put out his statement, Roberts on NPR’s “Morning Edition” said this about a recently published batch of emails suggesting foundation donors received special access to the State Department while Clinton was secretary of state: “I think it contributes to all of the concern about her honesty and trustworthiness”.

He was apparently referring to some countries’ checkered pasts and poor human rights record, including Saudi Arabia, which made sizable donations to the philanthropic organization while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state between 2009 and 2013. “It must be shut down immediately”, he said.

During his interview with “Fox & Friends” Monday, Trump said Clinton took money from “a lot of countries that we shouldn’t be taking and they shouldn’t be taking money from”. I mean, if you look at it, it’s pay for play.

“They took money from money launderers, criminals, dictators, people who abuse women as a matter of government policy”.

‘These are people that have skirted the law for a long time. “But it’s hard to believe she can even be running, to be honest with you, with the e-mails and the crimes she’s committed she shouldn’t be allowed to run for President”, Trump said.

Established by former US President Bill Clinton, husband of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary, the Foundation engages in welfare work and charity.

Last Friday, the Foundation announced it will make several key operational changes if Clinton wins the presidency in November, including refusing to accept donations from overseas or from corporations.

‘They receive a great deal of funding through these streams. In keeping with the chaotic nature of the campaign, these accusations are internally inconsistent but they all allege that Clinton is too physically fragile to be president. Bill Clinton sits on the board of directors of the foundation and Chelsea Clinton is the vice chair of the board of directors.

Clinton’s campaign manager continued to claim the foundation was doing everything it could to minimize possible influence and, “To make sure there is no possible conflict of interest”. Donald Trump needs to come clean with voters about his complex network of for-profit businesses that are hundreds of millions of dollars in debt to big banks, including the state-owned Bank of China, and other business groups with ties to the Kremlin. “The Clinton Foundation does incredible charitable work around the world”.
