Hillary Clinton makes history as US’ first woman presidential nominee.

“I’ve made a lot of sacrifices”. Despite a few outraged holdouts heckling the nominee on the convention floor, the new poll finds 73 percent of Sanders supporters now say they’ll vote Clinton in November, up from 67 percent earlier last month. “That’s just not how I was raised”.

Yet, Trump’s bounce dropped after the Democratic convention to 39%, likely a result of harsh remarks about his qualifications as president from some convention speakers – including former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Khizr Khan, the father of a fallen American Muslim soldier.

“Am I not allowed to respond?” Trump had tweeted. “Hillary voted for the Iraq war, not me!” NBC took third, with 4.5 million total viewers. There’s more good news for Clinton in the poll. Voters now hold a 36 percent to 50 percent favorable-unfavorable view of Clinton, while Trump is at 31-52.

Polls have indicated that voters question Clinton’s trustworthiness. “I think it is fair to say he is temperamentally unfit and unqualified”.

“The most important point to me is that I happen to agree with Sec”.

What’s less clear is whether the changes can be attributed to the Democratic National Convention, or other news events over the past week.
