It also advocates for improving workplaces for women, increasing American incomes and stabilizing healthcare costs for small businesses, she added. You’ve heard what they said.
Days after Donald Trump drew thousands to a rally in Sarasota, Clinton’s crowd numbered roughly 600. The national union group – which boasts 30,000 members – is backing the former secretary of State given her policies on energy efficiency. Make sure you’re registered to vote. “Make sure you do vote on March the first”.
Florida is expected to be a battleground state in next year’s election and the Hispanic population in the state is growing, in both size and influence.
Clinton will then travel to Orlando and Jacksonville before ending her day in Miami tonight.
She accused Trump of “making racism and hatred the hallmarks of his campaign”.
“Florida is so important”, she said.
“Our economy does so much better when we have a Democrat in the White House”, Clinton said, citing the recessions that began during the presidencies of George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
In her fourth public appearance in Florida since July, Clinton teed off on the GOP presidential field, past Republican presidents and GOP Gov. Rick Scott. “And some of her supporters asked if I would host and event for her and I said absolutely, just tell me when”. “Some are even starting to call central Florida Puerto Rico’s 79th municipality”.
Cheryl Morales, a former New Yorker holding a “Puerto Ricans for Hillary” sign, noted Clinton’s intellect and qualifications excite her. “I think she’s been disappointed in the past by not prevailing in the caucuses, and perhaps that’s why she still feels the way she does”.
In O’Malley’s interview with Radio Iowa, which has more than 50 affiliates across the state, he praised those who participate in the state’s caucuses as “people who care very passionately about our country”.
Jayme Wills, a writer who with her husband drove 90 miles from Sebastian to see Clinton, said she’s excited about Clinton as the likely nominee.
But Republican Party of Florida Wadi Gaitan said Clinton is the one who is losing. “The truth is that Hillary Clinton isn’t giving details on her outrageous spending increase because she knows it means raising taxes on hardworking middle-class families”. “Ted Cruz has supported legislation to do that and I really don’t understand it – Marco Rubio followed right along”. Clinton quieted the group, saying, “I’m just going to keep talking”.

Clinton is trying to raise money and build a grass roots campaign here in Florida. But her loudest applause came when she spoke of “standing up to the gun lobby”.
