Clinton gets soaring 15-point national lead over Trump: Polls
Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has gained a whopping 15 per cent national lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump, according to a latest poll.

Clinton’s surprising edge in Georgia follows a week of favorable national and battleground state polling for the former secretary of state after a bounce from the Democratic National Convention and fueled by Trump’s own hard stretch.
Even in a four-way race with Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party contender Jill Stein, Clinton still leads Trump 41 percent to 38 percent, according to the poll.
Due to the recent gaffes made by Trump after the conclusion of two back-to-back conventions last week, Clinton now has the support of 48 per cent of the potential voters as against Trump’s 33 per cent, a new McClatchy-Marist poll said.
Clinton almost tied Trump among men in the NBC-WSJ poll and enjoys a 22-point swing – she now leads by 8 points – in the McClatchy-Marist survey. A CNN/ORC poll this week showed Clinton with a similar 9-point edge over Trump nationally. With women, she continues to enjoy an overwhelming advantage – 50% to 30% according to McClatchy-Marist and 51% to 35% in the NBC-WSJ results.
Trump then continued his war of words with the Gold Star family, declared that he’d “always wanted” a Purple Heart but that it’s “easier” to receive one as a gift, and declined to endorse Republican candidate including House Speaker Paul Ryan. “The numbers had him up not long ago”.
The telephone poll of 800 registered voters was conducted July 31-Aug. 3.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution poll was conducted between August 1 and 4, and surveyed 847 registered Georgia voters.
