Hillary Clinton’s campaign has released further information about her health in an attempt to defuse the controversy around the candidate’s recent pneumonia diagnosis.
The letter, written by Lisa Bardack, MD, chair of internal medicine at CareMount Medical, paints a picture of a 68-year-old woman in good health, who has had some minor medical issues over the past few months. Trump’s campaign released a brief letter from his personal physician in December 2015 that said he was in “astonishingly excellent” health but did not provide detail about treatment or medications. But after video of the incident surfaced online, the campaign released another statement from her longtime doctor revealing Clinton, who had been battling a cough the week prior, had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
According to her doctor, Clinton has received two vaccinations against pneumonia – Prevnar and Pneumovax – although it is not clear when she received those vaccinations.
Mrs Clinton was said to be “recovering well with antibiotics and rest” after being laid low by a case of “mild, non-contagious” pneumonia over the weekend.
In her letter, Bardack said Clinton “has been seen by me regularly this year for routine care”.
She has been diagnosed of pneumonia and taking rest as advised by her physician. At the September 11 ceremony, she said, Clinton “became overheated and dehydrated”, but was “rehydrated and recovering nicely” later that day.
After she become “overheated”, “dizzy” and “dehydrated” at the 9/11 ceremony, Bardack examined Clinton at her suburban NY home.
“To help alleviate her symptoms, a myringotomy tube was placed in her left ear in January of 2016”.
The campaign’s long delay in providing information to the media and the public prompted criticism from Democrats and Republicans alike.
“She is in excellent mental condition”, said Lisa Bardack, her physician, four days after the Democratic nominee wobbled, stumbled and almost collapsed during the 15th anniversary of 9/11 attacks in NY. She plans to return to the campaign trail on Thursday.
The poll was conducted Friday through Monday, so the “basket of deplorables” comment, along with Mrs. Clinton’s health scare were in the news. “I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal”.
The former first lady has just suffered perhaps the worst week of her 15-month quest to become the first female United States president. She then fainted and suffered a concussion. Trump’s Thursday appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” was billed by the campaign as a discussion about his general well-being and his family’s medical history. Clinton, who is now 68, had to undergo anticoagulation therapy to dissolve a blood clot and had to wear special glasses to correct double vision for almost two months starting in late 2012. Beyond health records, Clinton has released almost four decades of tax returns; Trump has refused to make his filings public.
Bardack’s letter said Clinton’s illness stemmed from a bout of seasonal allergies that developed into an upper respiratory tract infection. Her lab testing, the doctor added, was “normal”.
Clinton has blood pressure of 100 over 70.
Clinton takes the blood thinner Coumadin and thyroid medication, according to the new releases.
The one main health item that does not seem to be included is information about the health of her heart, such as electrocardiogram.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump reportedly revealed he has high testosterone levels and is borderline obese during a discussion of his recent medical examination for a TV talk show. She said she thought she “could power through It, ‘ but that “didn’t work out so well”.

“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic”, she joked in front of the crowd. She has had appropriate breast cancer screening, but there is no mention of colon cancer screening.
