Clinton has ‘worked through’ previous health episodes

Those concerns are now unavoidable, made real by Clinton’s abrupt departure Sunday from a 9/11 anniversary ceremony and a video showing the Democratic nominee staggering and eventually slumping forward before being held up by three people as she was helped into a van.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton returned to work Monday, and this photo provided by the State Department via the Associated Press shows Mrs. Clinton holding up a football helmet presented to her from colleagues.

Trump said on Monday that health was a campaign issue but he did not attack Clinton over her physical condition. Clinton, 68, would be the second oldest, after Ronald Reagan.

Doctors say her condition, combined with Sunday’s heat and humidity, all could have contributed to her condition. I think they are going to be good.

On Sunday, her campaign answered questions about Clinton’s health and whereabouts with two short statements, both issued hours after she left the memorial in lower Manhattan.

“I’m feeling so much better”, said the Democratic presidential nominee, who called into Anderson Cooper 360 from her home in Chappaqua, N.Y “I should have gotten some rest sooner, I probably would have been better off if I just pulled down my schedule Friday”.

Clinton collapsed outside her SUV during Sunday’s 9/11 memorial service in NY and was rushed to her daughter’s apartment. I felt overheated. I decided that I did need to leave. “But I got in, once I could sit down, once I could cool off, once I got some water, I immediately started feeling better”.

Mr Clinton said: “She’s doing fine, she was even better last night before she went to sleep”.

Nearly five hours after the release of the video, the Clinton campaign released a statement from Clinton’s physician which read that Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and left the memorial after becoming dehydrated and overheated.

Though it shouldn’t be necessary, Hillary came forward Monday to defend herself in an interview with CNN, claiming that she’s “already met a high standard of transparency” when it comes to releasing health records.

Mrs Clinton told CNN during her phone interview that she hoped to be back on the trail in “the next couple of days”.

Clinton’s pneumonia disclosure was made public hours after her campaign said she had become “overheated” to explain why, her knees buckling and unsteady, she was rushed from the September 11 ceremony. Her dismissal of half of Trump’s supporters as a “basket of deplorables” of racist, homophobic people on Friday triggered a firestorm of criticism and prompted her to roll back the comment.

After a staff shake-up in August, Trump has largely abandoned the freewheeling style of campaigning that energized his supporters but also led to an endless string of controversial comments about women, minorities and others. Trump, 70, has been suggesting for weeks that Clinton lacks the energy needed to be president. Doctors said they found a blood clot on the brain.

“T$3 he people they accused or implied gave money to the foundation just so they could have some in with Hillary did not do that”, Clinton said.
