Clinton holds 2-1 lead over Sanders in SC

The Clinton campaign released a heart-tugging ad Thursday morning in Nevada, featuring a 10-year-old girl who is anxious her parents will be deported. Sanders’ Democratic opponent fares much worse on this characteristic overall and with members of each party.

Former state party chairman Phil Johnston, a Sanders supporter, said this could lead to an undemocratic result. Sanders added just 11 superdelegates.

“Her experiences as the first lady, as an outstanding secretary of state, as a US senator from NY, I think she has varied experiences that prepare her to be a very strong, wonderful president”, McElderry said.

Pollster Jon Gray says while Sanders won’t win in Alabama, don’t sell him short nationwide.

Hillary Clinton is widening her commanding lead nationally among superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention, but at least one of Oklahoma’s four superdelegates says she is “feeling the Bern”. The new wave endorsements have powered Clinton to a 481-55 delegate lead according to the AP.

“It is hardly an insurmountable lead, and it can change overnight”, Devine said.

In 2008, some superdelegates who initially supported Clinton did switch to Barack Obama after he started racking up victories in primaries and caucuses. “We’re outlining where the senator stands on immigration”, said Cesar Vargas, the national Latino outreach strategist for the Sanders campaign.

But support in the Latino community means nothing for Sanders or Clinton without turnout on Saturday at the almost 250 caucus locations throughout the state. A CNN poll for Nevada put Ms Clinton on 48 points, with Mr Sanders on 47.

Clinton met for more than two hours on Tuesday with a half-dozen civil rights leaders at the NY headquarters of the National Urban League.

“Possibly she’ll be the one that will be president for right now, but I hope she does, because if she be the president she’ll be more powerful than Donald Trump”, Karla told NBC earlier this week after her meeting with Clinton when the video used for the ad was made.

But even if he isn’t drawing the same level of support among women in Nevada, Sanders is topping another important demographic: young voters.

Sanders has been polling better in Nevada, whose Democrats will caucus on Saturday, a week before S.C. Democrats hold their presidential primary.

Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley said she’s supporting Clinton because Clinton recognizes the economic, social, political and racial inequities that exist today. She switched to uncommitted while she sees how matters involving the territory play out in the campaign.
