The Quinnipiac University poll, released Friday morning, found that Clinton leads Sanders by a margin of 59 percent to 33 percent among likely Florida Democratic voters. “America deserves nothing less!”

Clinton’s extensive network of support is one of her biggest advantages here in Texas.

Sanders took a jab at the former secretary of state, saying that she supported former President Bill Clinton’s overhaul of the nation’s welfare system when she was first lady. “But I don’t underestimate his ability to win a general election against Hillary Clinton – if he were the nominee”. “There is no question that the Latino support for Democrats has solidified as a result of the harsh, relentless Republican presidential candidates’ rhetoric against Latinos”. She referred to the court’s ruling that gave the razor-close election to Republican George W. Bush over Democrat Al Gore.

Ms Williams, a student from Charlotte, North Carolina, said: “She is inconsistent and she has not explained that inconsistency, and she is not to be trusted unless she explains herself”, she said.

“The South Carolina primary is personally important to me because I want to send a strong signal that South Carolina is ready for change, ready for progress, ready to make a difference”, Clinton said yesterday during a rally in Columbia.

The campaign has made huge waves in the Democratic party and has pushed the conversation to a place that Sanders’s supporters should be proud of.

Star Jones, an African-American TV talk show co-host and lawyer, helped fire up the crowd. He said he’s been there at the March and stuff and Hillary has been here and during the early 60’s and stuff and did that work that she did.

“We are about to break the ultimate glass ceiling!”

“It’s been unbelievable to see that”, she said. Clinton is campaigning for a landslide victory in SC, while Sanders is already looking ahead to Minnesota, Colorado, Illinois and beyond.

Heavily favored to win in South Carolina, Clinton will spend part of the day in Alabama, which has its primary on Tuesday.

“In 1963, I was there with Doctor (Martin Luther) King for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom”, he said, earning some applause. In some of those states I expect we are going do very well and win and maybe by large amounts. “But check my record”.
