Clinton holds day of VP interviews at her home in D.C.

Hillary Clinton met with three potential running mates at her home in Washington Friday, including Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, as she and her aides conferred on selecting a vice presidential candidate ahead of the party’s national convention, according to people familiar with the talks.

But Warren has been seen as an unlikely pick to Democrats inside and outside Clinton’s campaign, in part because the two don’t know each other well and there are concerns that Warren – a darling with the left – could overshadow the top of the ticket.

Also attending the meetings were Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, who is heading the VP vetting process, and top aide Huma Abedin, the network reported.

Warren was omitted Friday from the list of candidates set to speak at the upcoming Democratic convention in Philadelphia.

Warren wasn’t the only potential running mate who met with Clinton on Friday.

Warren, 67, spent about an hour at Clinton’s home, her second visit in the past month. And Castro has been a regular surrogate for Clinton, campaigning with her and on her behalf throughout the Democratic primaries.
