According to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, the Democratic nominee has just a 1.1-point lead over her Republican rival, 45 to 43.9 percent. Despite recent pools nationally showing rising approval ratings, the Suffolk poll shows 49% give him a thumbs down compared to 46% percent who approve. The third most concerning topic, according to 64 percent of voters, is Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she served as secretary of state.
Hillary Clinton was viewed negatively by a majority of voters with respondents particularly anxious over her lack of honesty.
Of note, more voters who choose Clinton do so because they want her to be president, while more voters who choose Trump are doing so as a protest against the Democratic nominee. Trump said in a tweet after it was reported that Clinton has taken a day off from her grilling campaign schedule.
Some 33 percent believe Trump does not have the right temperament to be commander in chief and 27 percent reject his rhetoric on women, immigrants and Muslims.
Per NBC’s Alex Jaffe: Trump used money from his charitable foundation to settle legal disputes concerning his business enterprises, court and tax filings show.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren told a crowd that Trump is “so scary, he keeps me up at night” and that she’s “nervous” there’s “even a one percent chance of Donald Trump winning”.
Clinton and Trump, on Wednesday, also accused each other of misappropriation of funds meant for charity and “fraud” after reports said the two have overlapping interest in their charities.
“Having said all of this, ‘Why aren’t I 50 points ahead?’ you might ask?”
Don King while campaigning for Trump on Wednesday. Moments later he actually used the N-word.
