Clinton holds wide lead in Virginia

On Saturday, The New York Times ran an article titled “Inside the Failing Mission to tame Donald Trump’s Tongue”, and the businessman spent much of the weekend railing against the outlet and the media in general.

He added that his fight throughout the campaign has been not only with his rivals for office but also with what he termed was a “dishonest and corrupt media”.

Donald Trump’s chances of winning his home state may be getting slimmer, a new poll Monday found.

The Siena College survey released Monday gave Clinton a 25 percentage point advantage over Trump when the Green and Libertarian party candidates were included.

The current RealClearPolitics average of national opinion polls puts Clinton 6.8 points ahead of Trump, at 47.8 percent to Trump’s 41 percent. The poll is the latest to suggest young voters, who helped President Obama solidify his wins in 2008 and 2012, are leaning Democratic this election cycle.

With former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders out of the race, 72 percent of his supporters plan to switch their vote to Clinton, despite Trump’s attempts to lure the Vermont senator’s supporters.

I would praise the press for reporting Clinton’s reaction that the remark was a threat and that the Trump organization later explained that this meant the Second Amendment people were unified and politically active. Seventy-five percent of Democrats said they had a positive opinion of Clinton, meaning there are more Democrats voting for Clinton despite not liking her than there are Republicans voting for Trump despite not liking him. Clinton dominated that survey too, at 50 percent.

The poll showed that it mattered to 34 percent of voters that some Republican leaders have denounced Trump, and that it didn’t matter to another 33 percent.

‘Despite Trump’s claims to carry NY, the Empire State seems firmly planted on the blue side of the map, as Clinton holds a commanding 30-point lead in a head-to-head matchup and a similarly strong 25-point, two-to-one lead in a four-way matchup, ‘ Greenberg said. As one young Republican told Time earlier this year, “Old Christian white people are dying out”, -this fact will haunt the GOP long after November, assuming Trump loses and we still get to have elections.
