Clinton, Kaine to stop in Youngstown after DNC
Presumably that’s why she tapped Tim Kaine to be her vice president. Fully 56 percent of registered Democrats, including 52 percent of Clinton supporters, now view themselves as “socialist”. This was the premise of Bernie Sanders’s campaign.

Clinton announced her selection via text message Friday evening.
The poll was conducted among 2,131 registered voters across 11 battleground states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Never one to miss an opportunity to poke at his rivals, Trump appeared to relish the Democratic chaos Sunday, writing on Twitter: “The Dems Convention is cracking up”.
“Got to have a fallback in my line of work”, Kaine retorted.
I should’ve had two accounts; one for personal and one for office.
Kaine, for his part, described himself as a “utility player”. She cited Kaine’s support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement as a disappointment.
After staying mum for a couple of days, Sanders, the runner-up in the Democratic primaries, weighed in during Sunday talk show appearances, calling Kaine “very, very smart” and “a very nice guy”. “Which I thought was very generous of him”. Some of Bernie Sanders’ voters are surely disappointed, having hoped for an outspoken liberal such as Massachusetts Sen. Sherrod Brown of OH or Warren.
But Clinton hasn’t shied away from going to places where she’s not exactly a favorite: in May, during a two-day trip through rural Kentucky and West Virginia, an out-of-work coal worker in Williamson confronted Clinton about her saying earlier this year that she would put coal companies and miners “out of business” with her proposals.
On social issues such as civil rights and civil liberties, Kaine seems to be very liberal, but on economic issues “he seems a little conservative”, said Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-Manhattan.
“That’s not the way I feel. But they also understood that our system of government requires compromise, that Democrats weren’t the enemy, that the way our government works requires us to listen to each other”.
Hillary Clinton says she won’t match Donald Trump’s nickname for her by issuing a similar label for him.
Kaine will probably help deliver Virginia – including “certain working class votes” – for Democrats, Nadler said. “And what I would say would be that this is somebody who knows as much about domestic and foreign policy as anybody, is tough as nails, is motivated by what’s best for America and ordinary people, understands that in this democracy that we have – things don’t always happen as fast as we’d like”.
“I mean, it’s an embarrassment of riches”, he said, referring to former President Bill Clinton as first man.

Senator Sanders, the grey-haired progressive liberal who managed to attract the votes of millions – including many young people, is a keynote speaker on the opening night of the Philadelphia event. It’s also been central to Donald (“I’m so rich I can’t be bought off”) Trump’s appeal, although he’s now trolling for big money. “We met up…. Sara and I went into his hotel room and had a rapid-fire briefing on what was to come next, what the schedule looked like for the rollout, what the expectation was for the convention, for coming out of the convention, what plans have been made”.
