Clinton lead narrows in Iowa

Now, with his campaign locked in a tight race against Hillary Clinton in Iowa and New Hampshire, he’s facing attacks about inconsistencies in his voting record — raising questions that could undermine not only his presidential aspirations, but the brand he’s cultivated over the course of his political career.

In this January 12, 2016, photo, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks during a campaign event at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The poll included 503 likely Democratic caucus-goers and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

“It’s a bit concerning to me, because it would basically end all the kinds of health care we know: Medicare, Medicaid, the CHIP program, Children’s health insurance, Tri-care for the National Guard military, Affordable Care Act exchange policies, employer-based policies”, she said. The other vision, he says, is his plan to break up big banks, close tax loopholes and make Wall Street pay its “fair share”. “It is my very strong hope that I never will”, Sanders said at a New Hampshire town hall Thursday night.

“It makes no sense to me to have an immigration bill, which over a period of years, would bring millions of “guest workers” into this country who are prepared to work for lower wages”, said Sanders in a June 2007 statement. Hillary Clinton has challenged Sanders on taxes, guns and health care in the last week, and Sanders has responded by charging that her campaign is getting desperate. In many cases, her campaign does not lay out specifically how she would pay for them, though some groups estimate she could raise enough through taxes on the wealthy and government savings.

“No”, she said when asked if she is nervous. “It’s about people in the Democratic establishment who believe you can take Wall Street’s money and then somehow turn around and rein in the greed, recklessness and illegal behavior”.

Later in the segment, Clinton was asked about what distinguishes her from Sanders, to which Clinton pointed to Sanders on the gun issues.

“I just have a different sense of the rhythm of a campaign”.

Ever since that speech – which saw some Sanders’ aides get in on the Clinton bashing on social media – the tone of the Sanders campaign has been decidedly more negative than the operation he and his aides sketched early in 2015.

“Now we’re in the sprint and it is time to draw contrasts”, Clinton added on ABC.

Chelsea Clinton is a highly successful person, for reasons entirely related to the circumstances of her birth, not her qualifications or personal accomplishments. “I mean, this ultimately is a selection, an election is a selection, right?”
