Clinton leads Trump by 6 points in latest polls

When he is not acknowledging problems with his own campaign, he is explaining away his potential loss in the November ballot to Clinton by alleging that the electoral system is stacked against him, an outsider trying to play an insider game but disadvantaged by unfair rules.

Democrats have criticised Mr Trump’s positions on foreign policy and national security, as well as of some of his freewheeling remarks.

But Trump has more ground to make up with African-American voters than any Republican nominee in recent history, drawing just 1% of the African-American vote in a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll in the battleground states of OH and Pennsylvania.

“Those peddling the narrative of cops as a racist force in our society – a narrative supported with a nod by my opponent – share directly in the responsibility for the unrest in Milwaukee and many other places within our country”, Trump said.

The development, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, came after a day in which Trump sent a Facebook message urging an end to bigotry and oppression. Turning to the Olympic team, she said, “Team USA is showing the world what this country stands for”.

In a posting on Facebook late Tuesday, the Republican presidential nominee pledges to, “fight to ensure that every American is treated equally, protected equally, and honored equally”. The electoral infrastructure Democrats can build in Texas this year, however, will linger for years to come, even if the Republican Party of Texas’s brand recovers from the damage Trump is now inflicting on it, with young and Hispanic voters in particular.

Trump’s support has experienced wider shifts ranging from 33 to 39pc while his campaign has endured controversies and distractions in recent weeks. His visit followed several days of violence that have left businesses in flames.

Tuesday afternoon, the billionaire business mogul hosted a law enforcement roundtable in Milwaukee.

The line has become a new addition to Clinton’s stump speech. “If Donald Trump talks about Hillary Clinton or talks about himself in making people’s lives better. and if it’s about her and those issues and about Americans wanting a change, she’s not the right answer”.

Trump also taped a town hall meeting with Fox News, in which he blamed President Barack Obama for what he sees as hostility toward police.

Even so, Donald Trump has taken his focus of attack and turned it on the media, which is quickly absorbing the impact where people tend to agree more that the press is well-deserving of it.

Tpinion surveys show Trump trailing his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton nationally and in key battleground states.

While guarding against complacency, Clinton is also preparing for a potential administration.
