Clinton Makes History As Democratic Presidential Nominee

The opening night of the Democratic National Convention on Monday was a rowdy one, underscored by disagreements between supporters of the two candidates.

Bill Clinton was once the Democrats explainer-in-chief, electrifying the convention crowd with his support of President Barack Obama. “It’s policy by bumper sticker. There will be some people who will find the strength of his rhetoric very appealing”.

Clinton is set to speak on Thursday night.

“Clinton Mentions at DNC Last Night: 208”.

“This is not a problem that is going away”. “We will never stop fighting for the change we need and we will never forget the man who leads us”.

And, he tells delegates at the Democratic convention, “she didn’t let him down”.

The proceedings began with nominating speeches for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Everything Hillary did in this early section of the speech made her more intimidating and out of reach-Bill was impressed when she spoke to him first and asked him out, but he was also speechless.

It isn’t only Hillary Clinton who is breaking a glass ceiling this week.

Clinton will be watching from her home in NY, her campaign said. “How do we keep our country safe?” “Lesson learned. It made us reconsider our actions”.

He reached for the microphone, and endorsed Clinton a final time, saying that all votes be moved to her total. “As he said, people in Arkansas didn’t know that she was the reason that they were benefiting from so many of these different programs”.

Many voters’ deep qualms about Trump’s style, rhetoric, and personal character make Clinton’s personality and tone at the convention all the more important as a chance to reintroduce herself to American voters.

Despite Sanders’ calls for them to support Clinton, thousands of activists have taken to the streets during the convention this week to voice support for the liberal Vermont U.S. senator and his progressive agenda.

Mary Sullivan is Vermont’s incoming committeewoman to the Democratic National Committee. “On behalf of all the women who’ve broken down barriers for others, and with an eye toward the barriers still ahead, I proudly place Hillary Clinton’s name in nomination to be the next President of the United States of America”.

“He has this unique understanding of the candidate and the job, like no one else has on either side”, said his former spokesman, Matt McKenna.

Still, Hillary Clinton sees her husband as an asset. “It is with enormous pride that I cast my vote for Bernie Sanders”. Tim Kaine, the party’s vice presidential nominee, will have a rally at Youngstown’s East High School on Saturday. Timothy M. Kaine (Va.), will immediately embark on a three-day bus tour of Pennsylvania and OH after the convention.

“Bill Clinton was about as high-powered as you could get to come in here, and they both lost double digits”, he said. “And we are guided by values that have long inspired people across the world – a commitment to freedom and equality, justice and diversity – that fundamental American idea that every single person deserves to be treated decently and with respect, no matter who they are”.
