Clinton on Trump: ‘Everything is a game’ to him

Trump’s supporters are especially enthusiastic: 75% say they’re more interested in this year’s face-offs than in previous years, compared with 58% of Clinton’s supporters. She sought to assure that a USA -led global nuclear deal with Iran will serve to ensure Israel’s safety.

“I have a very substantial chance of winning, if I win, I don’t want to broadcast to the enemy what my plan is”, Trump said, adding that he might incorporate some of the military establishment’s own recommendations into his plan.

Clinton portrayed herself as a model of “absolute rock steadiness” on foreign policy, but she also spent considerable time explaining her Senate vote for the U.S.to invade Iraq in 2003 and defended her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

He said generals serving under President Barack Obama have been “reduced to rubble”, prompting Clinton to complain Thursday that Trump had “trash talked” military leaders.

“I think that when you serve in the armed forces, that’s a very special situation”, Trump said. Asked if he would be prepared on Day One to be commander in chief, Trump said: “One hundred percent”.

“My opponent was for the war in Iraq”, the former secretary of State said on Wednesday night at the military-focused forum.

Some of those Republicans will join Clinton Friday for what she dubbed a “working session” on the threat of terrorism.

Asked by ABC News’s David Muir on Monday afternoon whether he’d be releasing his income-tax returns, as every other major-party presidential nominee has done for 40?years, Trump brushed off the inquiry.

Clinton’s interview, set to air Thursday night on Israeli Channel 2 TV, comes as both candidates worked to tout their national security credentials just two months ahead of the election. He was asked Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” what he would do as president about Aleppo, the Syrian city at the center of the refugee crisis, Johnson replied, “And what is Aleppo?”

And before Wednesday’s forum, Trump used a speech at the Union League of Philadelphia to unveil his blueprint for drastically bulking up the American military, including increasing the USA fleet from 276 warships to 350. She instead believes the US can defeat the jihadists with airstrikes and support for homegrown forces in those countries.

“The reason it has happened is, Donald Trump is not a credible candidate”, said Cal Jillson, a political science professor at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

But no such regret from Trump on his preference for Russian President, Vladimir Putin’s leadership style. And for the first time, he opened the door to granting legal status to people living in the US illegally who join the military.

The Republican also repeated an incorrect claim that he was opposed to the war with Iraq before the invasion. He replied, “Yeah, I guess so”.
