Clinton outpaces Trump in July fundraising
Asked Sunday on CNN if that was still the Republican nominee’s plan, newly-promoted campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said, “To be determined”.

On Saturday, Trump met with a Hispanic Advisory Council at Trump Tower in NY and mentioned a “humane and efficient” way to deal with undocumented immigrants, according to Buzzfeed.
That would stand in sharp contrast with a central theme of the Trump campaign since the beginning, a hardline position on immigration focused on removing people in the country illegally.
“What he supports is to make sure we enforce the law, that we are respectful of those Americans who are looking for jobs, and that we are fair and humane to those who live among us”, Conway said.
GOP officials insist presidential nominee Donald Trump is finally hitting his stride and will catch up with Democrat Hillary Clinton by around Labor Day.
Hillary For America reported receipts of $52.3 million, more than in any previous month, including her first White House run in 2008.
That’s according to an Associated Press analysis of the map as it stands today, with 78 days until Election Day. While the USA has tried to use the oil-producing country as a counter-weight in the Middle East to an increasingly adventurous Iran, the country has also drawn criticism for backing charities that have funded radical Islamic terrorists.
In several states the AP rates as toss-ups, including New Hampshire, North Carolina and Florida, recent polls suggest current conditions may be favorable to Clinton, though there are few polls in those states or they have given her a relatively narrow upper hand.
Despite the significant increase in fundraising in July, the Trump campaign’s money pot is dwarfed by that of Clinton.
The Indiana governor talked about the most pressing issues before the campaign as they hit the home stretch, but he also lightened up at times, mentioning at one point that he “played a little bit of guitar” decades ago to impress his wife when they were dating. Particularly ongoing criticism about the campaign’s structure and seeming lack of infrastructure in swing states.
Conway, who supported Trump rival Ted Cruz during the primaries, was named to her post this past week in a shake-up in which the campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, resigned and conservative media firebrand Stephen Bannon, who led Breitbart News, took over as campaign chief executive.
A source familiar with the move told CNN that how much time Spicer spends working out of the campaign’s headquarters each week will vary.
Conway did not say Spicer was formally joining the campaign.
August will see a spike in Trump spending, however, as last week $5m was spent on the first TV adverts. John McCain’s military record and comments he made about a Gold Star family that spoke at the Democratic convention.
Spicer said the RNC and the Trump campaign will work closely together.
