Clinton: Presidential candidate returns to campaign trail after pneumonia bout
Hillary Clinton returned to campaigning without offering apologies for keeping her pneumonia a secret, focusing on criticizing opponent Donald Trump instead of how she handled her health problem and the three-day rest ordered by her doctor.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went back on the campaign trail after staying at home for several days following a health scare at the September 11 memorial in New York City.
But after video of the incident surfaced online, the campaign released another statement from her longtime doctor revealing Clinton, who had been battling a cough the week prior, had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
Mrs. Clinton said she plans to release more medical information “very shortly”.
Trump released a new letter from his doctor Thursday detailing his blood pressure, cholesterol and medications, one day after Clinton made public a letter from her physician with similar information.
Mrs. Clinton’s blood pressure of 100 over 70 and total cholesterol (189) are all within normal levels, as indicated in the letter.
Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, said the candidate’s break from the campaign trail helped her “sharpen the final argument she will present to voters in these closing weeks”.
In Florida, Trump received the backing of 47 percent of respondents while Clinton acquired 44 percent.
The only “evidence” of this theory were photographs from the memorial ceremony on Sunday with some saying the differences lay in the details: cheekbones, smooth versus wrinkled skin and body composition. “He called her a ‘nervous mess, ‘” Clinton said.
“Fairly or unfairly, what this was taken as was more evidence that she was not transparent and that’s what hurts her”, Shrum said.
In response to Clinton’s recent bout with pneumonia, Republican nominee Donald Trump issued the results of a recent medical checkup when he appeared on The Dr. Oz Show on Wednesday.
“I have a great deal of respect for Colin Powell, and I have a lot of sympathy for anyone whose emails become public”, Clinton said.
Mr. Trump taped an appearance on Dr. Mehmet Oz’s television show Wednesday.
The letter from Clinton’s doctor made no mention of her weight, a key part of any medical exam, nor did a similar letter released previous year.
The New York Times quoted one person at the taping who said Oz put Trump’s weight at 121 kilograms (267 pounds) and declared the Republican candidate “slightly overweight”. “I’ve said it from the very beginning whether I was up, down, it didn’t matter”, Clinton said.

His campaign said more information about his health would be made public Thursday.
A Quinnipiac poll of likely voters shows Clinton with 48 percent support nationally compared to Trump’s 43 percent.

In a not-so-subtle slap at Clinton, the Trump campaign said his medical report showed he “has the stamina to endure – uninterrupted – the rigors of a punishing and unprecedented presidential campaign and, more importantly, the singularly demanding job of president of the United States”.
