And as he was meeting with Obama, Hillary Clinton’s camp accused her challenger of running of a nasty campaign.

Members of the audience listen as Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks at a rally at Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016. “I don’t believe that at all”.
Two Democratic presidential candidates said they would like to take part in a debate next week hosted by the New Hampshire Union Leader, despite a threat from the national party to punish them if they take the stage.
The differences between Clinton’s and Sanders’ views are more distinct, setting up a choice not just between two candidates but two visions of government – a choice that starts in Iowa, on Monday.
The president this week rebuffed suggestions that Sanders’ upstart campaign is a reboot of his own battle against Clinton in 2008.
To be sure, they do hear the complaints about Clinton: that she appears aloof and inaccessible, that she and her husband don’t feel bound by some rules – witness the private email controversy – that she’s reluctant to tell the full story about some events.
If Sanders is able to replicate other pieces of Obama’s Iowa coalition, including young people and first-time caucus goers, Clinton will likely need more women in her corner.
What I’ve said to my campaign is that I would look forward to another debate. But they account for just 36 percent of this population; her support drops to 49 percent, and Sanders’ rises to 40 percent, among those who are either dissatisfied or angry about the government.
Huckabee’s campaign released a 3.5 minute online video Wednesday entitled “Hello, Huck”, with satirical lyrics sung over the Adele’s hit, with direct jabs to Democratic contenders Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
If Bloomberg means what he says, that he will only run if Clinton loses the nomination, Sanders should let sleeping dogs lie and let Clinton have the nomination. But Bernie Sanders’ campaign says he has no plans to attend a debate not approved by the party.
Clinton’s is a super cut of her speaking out on children’s and family issues throughout her career, ending with the former secretary of state saying, “I’ve spent my life fighting for children, families and our country and I’m not stopping now”.
She added that the relationship between the one-time rivals had “turned into a real friendship”.
The meeting with Obama had been on the books “for days”, Sanders’ spokesman Briggs told CNN.
Sanders said he did not know if Massachusetts Sen.
When Obama said earlier this month he would withhold his support for any political candidate that didn’t support “common sense” gun control laws, it was widely regarded as a rebuke of Sanders, who has voted for provisions that would protect firearm manufacturers from liability after shooting deaths.
At the White House press briefing on Wednesday, Press Secretary Josh Earnest reiterated that the President isn’t quite ready to endorse a candidate.
Obama and Clinton last met in December for lunch.
The bigger problem could be for the many campaign staffers and reporters in Iowa who want to leave after the caucuses.

The White House visit came after Obama characterized the Vermont senator as “the bright, shiny object that people haven’t seen before – that’s a disadvantage to [Clinton]”.
