Clinton returning to campaign trail

According to the NBC News/Survey Monkey tracking survey released on Tuesday, Clinton is trailed by Trump by only 4 percentage points, 48 to 44 percent, among registered voters. It came today from the man she once battled for the presidency, and now hopes to succeed in the White House.

“While at [Sunday] morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated”.

Pence told House Republicans in the closed-door meeting that he didn’t know Trump when they first met, but had gotten to know him well, citing what he said was Trump’s kindness and things he’s done to show that he’s different than what people see on TV.

Her staff has said it erred in not disclosing sooner her diagnosis, which came on Friday, two days before she abruptly left an event in NY and drew questions about her health.

The news on the political front has scarcely been better than Clinton’s medical revelations.

“He loves this guy”, Obama said of Trump’s relationship with Putin.

Facing intensifying scrutiny about her health, the Democrat will also make new disclosures of medical records and data, as her team acknowledged it stumbled when it failed to transparently alert the press and public about Clinton’s condition over the weekend.

“They probably should have acknowledged her initial diagnosis”, he said, adding that because Mr Trump and one of his leading supporters, former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani, had raised the issue of her health “so brutally”, they tried to “gut it out”. Clinton said she is feeling so much better.

“Our standards for what’s normal have changed”, Obama said.

Republican Donald Trump has rolled out a new attack line against Hillary Clinton as they enter the final stretch of the presidential race, and it’s a head-turner.

President Barack Obama spoke at a campaign event for Hillary Clinton at Eakins Oval in Philadelphia, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016.

On the other, Obama argued that the USA “cannot afford to act as if there’s some equivalence here” between the two candidates, saying Trump has tried to turn the campaign into a “reality show” and does not understand the magnitude of the position he’s seeking to hold. She used her Republican National Convention speech to talk about child care issues, though her father has barely mentioned it on the campaign trail.

The race there could come down to whether the coalition of voters that helped carry Obama to victory almost eight years ago – young people, Hispanics and African Americans – turns out in force.

Mr Obama aggressively stepped into a void left by Mrs Clinton, who is taking time off from campaigning after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

‘Can I just say I am really into electing Hillary Clinton?’ Obama told the crowd.

He focused his criticism on comments by Clinton last week in which she dismissed half of his supporters as a “basket of deplorables” of racist, homophobic people.
