Clinton Returns to Campaign Trail

Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis came at inopportune time for the former secretary of state, who spent the bulk of August fundraising in wealthy U.S. enclaves such as the Hamptons and Martha’s Vineyard, with only intermittent campaign events.

“We need to stand up and repudiate divisive rhetoric”, she said.

When the poll considers the nation’s broader electorate – all registered voters – Clinton holds a larger lead over Trump in a two-way race, 46 to 41 percent.

“If this is about transparency and medical records and health conditions, then why was she so furtive in the business of concealing here?” Tim Kaine (Virginia), about the diagnosis.

Clinton has found it challenging to break through the attention Trump draws as a celebrity candidate given to controversial statements, campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri said.

“Something was up because I noticed she was so nervous when she introduced me”.

In December 2012, as Clinton was near the end of her term as secretary of state, she fell at home and suffered a concussion, developing a blood clot shortly thereafter.

With two months until Election Day, the race between Clinton and Trump is far tighter than many in both parties expected.

The rally marked Mrs Clinton’s first public appearance since Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service after getting dizzy and dehydrated.

Clinton campaigned last week in Charlotte – part of what’s become a weekly routine of Clinton, Republican nominee Donald Trump or their running mates visiting the battleground state.

In an address to the Economic Club of New York, Trump slammed the policies of Clinton and Obama as having doubled the national debt and promised his presidency would bring about “an American economic revival”.

The Democratic presidential nominee began her return Thursday with a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she criticized Republican rival Donald Trump and used her illness to illustrate the need for better healthcare in the US.

But Clinton was not backing down. “And that did help me reconnect with what this whole campaign is about”.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell revealed distaste for both USA presidential candidates, but levelled his most pointed criticism at Republican Donald Trump in hacked emails leaked by a group American intelligence officials suspect is linked to Russian Federation.

“I was never a fan of Colin Powell”, Trump tweeted Thursday. “I’m not going to start discussing someone else’s private emails. I’ve already spent a lot of time talking about mine, as you know”. The letter did not state when she received those vaccines.
