Clinton’s classified email errors due to ‘improper labeling’ – Kaine
Out of a massive investigation, the FBI has released just two documents: a heavily-redacted version of its summary report and a writeup – the so-called 302 – from agents’ July 2 interview with Clinton.

She said she was aware that a private email server was located in the basement of her Chappaqua, New York, home but had no knowledge of the “hardware, software and security protocols used to construct and operate the server”.
Bryan Pagliano, the tech expert who set up the server and spoke to the Federal Bureau of Investigation under immunity, told the Federal Bureau of Investigation there were no successful security breaches, but said he was aware of many failed login attempts – which he described as “brute force attacks”.
And last… “The FBI documents should be seen as a preview of how Mrs. Clinton would govern as President, with the same get-away-with-anything entitlement that always follows the Clintons”.
“Investigation found evidence of these deletions and determined the Datto backups of the PRN Server were also manually deleted during this timeframe”.
In his reply to Clinton via email, Powell told Clinton to “be very careful” because the work-related emails she sent on her BlackBerry could become public record.
Clinton’s use of a private server has been the subject of simmering controversy as she runs for president against Trump, the Republican candidate.
Yet some State employees said they did not know her actual address since she appeared merely as the letter “H” in the sender field of the email.
The FBI focused on whether Clinton sent or received classified information using the private server, which was not authorized for such messages. “So when [Clinton] received the email, the material that was classified – which is supposed to be flagged and identified as classified – in many instances was improperly labeled”.
The FBI stated in July that it would not recommend any criminal charges against the Presidential nominee for mishandling classified information.
“When confronted with the altered document, Clinton recognized the header and footer as indicating the presence of classified information, but she didn’t connect them to the “(C)” marking and said she didn’t think the email’s content was in fact classified.
The FBI’s review also found no direct evidence that Clinton’s server was hacked but said her system would be a high-value target for foreign intelligence agencies and a sophisticated attacker would have been unlikely to leave behind evidence of a breach.
The I Fell And Can’t Get Up Excuse: When asked about briefings she received about how to handle her emails as she transitioned out of the government, Clinton said she couldn’t remember because she fell and suffered a concussion in 2012 and “could not recall every briefing she received”.
She also said she had no conversations about using a private email server to avoid her obligations under the Federal Records Act or the Freedom of Information Act.
