Clinton’s Doctor Says She Is ‘Recovering Well,’ Releases More Health Information

According to a statement released by the campaign, Dr. Lisa Bardack examined the Democratic presidential nominee at her home in Chappaqua, New York, Wednesday.

Clinton has been at her home in Chappaqua, N.Y., resting since she was recorded leaving a September 11 memorial ceremony on Sunday in New York City stumbling and being held up by her aides.

Hillary Clinton is “healthy and fit to serve” as USA president, says her doctor, as the Democratic campaign released updated medical information.

Only bacterial pneumonia, not viral, can be treated with antibiotics.

Clinton was seen on Sunday reassuring the press after her collapse that day.

The statement added that Ms Clinton had suffered no long-term ill effects from a concussion sustained in 2012 while serving as Secretary of State – an incident that has since fuelled conspiracy theories about the presidential hopeful’s overall health.

Her medications include medicine for an underactive thyroid, a blood thinner, an antihistamine (Clarinex) for seasonal allergies, and B-12 for mild anemia. Clinton’s mammogram and breast ultrasound results have been normal.

Clinton’s physician also found that the remainder of the Democratic candidate’s complete physical exam was “normal” and that she is in “excellent mental condition”. He talked about Clinton’s health and wished her a speedy recovery, as he has said in recent interviews.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a doctor’s note Tuesday excusing her absence from the campaign trail this past week.

Clinton had previously released a letter from her doctor Bardack, which contained information about her current health, medications and past health conditions, including a history of hyperthyroidism and deep-vein thrombosis. In January, Clinton received a tube in her left ear to treat an infection and sinusitis.

“Over the next several days as she travelled, her congestion worsened and she developed a cough”. Her campaign had been pressed to be more transparent about Clinton’s health, particularly after it failed to reveal her Friday pneumonia diagnosis until Sunday, when she almost collapsed as she left the Ground Zero site in NY.

It said Kaine is active in his work and physical fitness.

Since then, Clinton’s dosage of Coumadin has “been adjusted as needed according to regular lab testing”, Bardack said. Her heart rate was 70 and her blood pressure was 100 over 70. She underwent anticoagulation therapy to dissolve a blood clot and had to wear special glasses to correct double vision for almost two months starting in late 2012. Bardack said Clinton “became overheated and dehydrated” at the event. She’s had two prior blood clots in her leg, once in 1998 and once in 2009.

Age is one reason that health has emerged as a campaign issue with the United States media latching on to the statistic that beginning with Bill Clinton’s election in 1992, the past three presidents were first elected in their 40s or 50s.

Earlier on Wednesday, campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox News the results of Trump’s exam would be shared publicly “this week”.
