Clinton’s doctor: She’s recovering, ‘fit to serve’

She’s been evaluated by Bardack several times since and her condition has continued to improve, according to the letter.

Bardack also said Clinton has been taking the anti-coagulant Coumadin, and that her blood levels “have been relatively stable”.

“People get pneumonia all the time”, Republican Senator Roger Wicker of MS said in an interview with the Politico news blog, adding, “It is absolutely a natural impulse of her staff to dissemble and lie, and it is just astounding”.

In releasing a letter from Trump’s doctor Thursday, Trump’s team appeared to take a swipe at Clinton’s brief absence from the campaign trail.

In recent national polling, Clinton leads head-to-head match-ups against Trump, with the Democrat holding 45.8 percent support compared to 44 percent for the NY businessman, according to averages compiled by RealClear Politics.

Hillary Clinton is “healthy and fit to serve as president” despite her bout of bacterial pneumonia, her doctor has said.

“When I’m under the weather I can afford to take a few days off, millions of Americans can’t- they either go to work sick or they lose a paycheck”, she said. Her campaign didn’t disclose the illness until Sunday, after video circulated on social media showing her stumbling and being supported by aides after abruptly leaving a 9/11 memorial service in New York City.

If Clinton held onto all of the other states Obama won, she would defeat Trump with 279 electoral votes.

“I have a great deal of respect for Colin Powell, and I have a lot of sympathy for anyone whose emails become public”, Clinton said.

Earlier in the day, Clinton said she won’t comment on emails sent by former Secretary of State Colin Powell attacking her for “hubris”. Her campaign later revealed she was fighting pneumonia. The letter did not indicate when Clinton received those vaccines. The blood clot was in a vein in the space between Clinton’s brain and the skull behind the right ear, according to the letter.

The letter states that Hillary takes thyroid and allergy medicines to keep herself healthy.

Trump’s doctor says the Republican is 6-foot-3 and 236 pounds – giving him a body mass index falling into the “overweight” range.

Facing criticism for her lack of transparency, Clinton has promised to release additional medical records.

In the letter released by the campaign, Dr. Bardack also described lab-test results that were normal, including cholesterol, heart rate and respiratory rate, as well as a normal mammogram and blood pressure.

The statement added that Ms Clinton had suffered no long-term ill effects from a concussion sustained in 2012 while serving as Secretary of State – an incident that has since fuelled conspiracy theories about the presidential hopeful’s overall health.
