Clinton’s top aide parts from husband after latest sexting scandal
Weiner lost his job and now potentially his marriage after repeatedly getting caught sending suggestive messages to women on Twitter.

McKelvey wrote: “Abedin is now officially separated from her husband, ending (at least temporarily) a marriage that has been scrutinised in public for years”. The New York Daily News had employed Mr Weiner as a columnist but the paper’s editor told The Daily Beast they would no longer run his pieces.
The messages he had sent included a photograph purportedly showing Mr Weiner lying on a bed, a bulge in his trousers in the foreground of the frame, while the couple’s sleeping child was pictured next to him.
He was caught a second time in 2013, while running for mayor of NY. He is Jewish; she describes herself as a proud Muslim, reared in Saudi Arabia to academic parents from South Asia.
But the Clinton campaign has been unable to easily swat away some of the other charges that swirl around Abedin. She said while her husband has made some “horrible mistakes, both before he resigned from Congress and after”, she was sticking with him. Whatever advice passed between them about Weiner’s betrayal remains a private matter. Her email exchanges with Clinton were closely scrutinized during the Justice Department’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server.
Abedin remains in Long Island as part of a Clinton fundraising trip to the Hamptons.
Republicans have also alleged that donors to the foundation got preferential treatment while Clinton was secretary of state.
The Clinton campaign, which defended Abedin from Trump in 2015, has yet to issue a statement about the separation or its rival’s accusations.
Weiner, who torpedoed his own political career five years ago with a sexting scandal and whose wife is Clinton’s closest adviser, deleted his Twitter account after the latest report surfaced. After several days of swirling rumors, Weiner claimed he had been hacked. “Why aren’t we talking about the fact that she was an editor for a Sharia newspaper?”
Former Congressman Anthony Weiner “appeared to have sent a photo of himself in his underpants with his toddler son nearby”, the BBC says. The statement from Abedin followed.
Trump was asked about the announcement by a conservative talk show host on Monday and the Republican presidential nominee immediately ripped into Weiner, who has been embroiled in high-profile sexting scandals.
One resident told WUSA9, “It’s outrageous and I’m glad she left him”.
While calling Abedin´s move “a very wise decision”, he questioned Clinton´s judgment “in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information”. “You know what they say: Fool me once, shame on you. It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this”.
Barrack also said Trump’s recent campaign staff overhaul – after he made Kellyanne Conway his campaign manager and hired Stephen Bannon has his CEO – was a reflection of an evolving campaign rather than a sign of trouble.
Weiner was forced to resign from Congress but Abedin stood by his side and publicly supported him while he admitted that he has a sex addiction.
The former Congressman said he had undergone therapy after the first sexting scandal, according to media reports. Their son was born in December of that year, and Weiner has been a stay-at-home dad for much of the time since.

The political documentary Weiner has been doing the rounds of the global film festivals circuit all year (including sold-out sessions in both Sydney and Melbourne) so there’s been plenty of chatter about one time NY mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.
