Clinton, Sanders Campaigns Prepare For Very Competitive Massachusetts Primary
“I, like many Americans, have evolved”, she told a Las Vegas real estate agent, who said it “broke his heart” when she failed to stand up for marriage equality years ago.

Over the past year, Clinton’s lead has gone from a commanding 38-point advantage to now running neck-and-neck with Sanders in a state that she was favoured to win. At a rally Thursday, Clinton said Sanders was not interested in being a Democrat until it came time to run for president in 2016 (she was booed by the audience there).
The endorsement comes as Nevada’s latest poll shows the race between Sanders and Clinton in a dead heat. Moreover, the numbers were corroborated by a CNN poll revealing more of the same: Sanders has caught up to Clinton in the Silver State. After Clinton barely won Iowa and Sanders won a landslide in a mostly white New Hampshire, both candidates are aiming to prove they can win minority votes in Nevada and SC. So it was a huge relief to the Clinton forces when Clyburn formally announced his endorsement on Friday in Columbia, helping to lock in support from most of the state’s black political elite.
While both candidates answered tough questions, it was Clinton who was pressed the most about the issue of trust.
Clyburn said he liked working with Sanders in Congress, especially on Obama’s overhaul of the health care system. Sanders has kept the Democratic race closer than expected, and a win in Nevada after his strong win in New Hampshire would indicate that the contest is far from over. Sanders himself said this week that “people should not be voting for candidates based on their gender, but based on what they believe”.
“One thing that is clear from our poll – and others – is that Clinton has been losing support and Sanders has been gaining”, Democratic pollster Chris Anderson, who assisted Fox News on the poll, said. Nine in 10 Democratic registered voters say they think she could win a general election, a 16-point margin over Sanders.
“Hillary is opposed to what your utility did walking away from supporting solar energy”, he said, referencing an ongoing fight between NV Energy and the rooftop solar energy over rates paid by solar customers.
“I’ve still got an open mind”, Frasier said. He added: “I think Sanders will do well where we did well, some of the rural areas in Washoe County”.
In the closing days, Clinton has also stopped at multiple casinos, where she has been greeted warmly by the heavily-immigrant casino workers. We obviously talk about immigration, but that’s not the number one priority for – at least that I’ve seen with the Latino demographic.

On Thursday, a national television network reported that the Democrat from SC would be endorsing Clinton ahead of the primary in the state on February.
