Clinton, Sanders discussing endorsement event
“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton”, Sanders said.

Among Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters who preferred a candidate other than Trump in the primaries, 77% say they plan to support him in the general election, while 14% say they will vote for Clinton and 9% volunteer another candidate’s name or say they aren’t sure who they will support.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s ghost of casino past comes back knocking on his front door in the form of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
Her campaign announced last week raising nearly $70 million in June for her campaign and Democratic partners, an amount that included about $40 million that went directly into her campaign fund. It could also undermine the core argument of her campaign, which is that she — not Trump — possesses the steadiness and good judgment needed to be commander-in-chief. But it takes a mountain of cash to compete with Hillary Clinton at the grassroots level and Trump simply isn’t going to be able to raise it.
Her vetting is the most complicated, people familiar with the process say, because she has been in the public eye far less than Kaine.
Even the Clinton campaign is declaring Donald Trump competitive after the mogul hauled in $51 million in June, his largest fundraising month of the campaign.
As far as the Clinton campaign is concerned, Thursday’s hearing represents yet another attempt by GOP lawmakers to trip their candidate up, after the House Benghazi Committee concluded last week without directly implicating the former secretary of state in the deaths of four Americans in Libya in 2012.
Still, the Republican smear campaign has caused major collateral damage, most notably among Democrats. The joint funds are meant to help both Trump and candidates in other races, such as people running for Congress, in the November 8 election.
She also placed blame for Atlantic City’s troubles on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, one of Trump’s biggest supporters and a possible vice presidential pick. The casinos’ struggles have led to job losses and credit downgrades.
“Isn’t he supposed to be some kind of unbelievable businessman?”
At one point, Clinton asked: “What in the world happened?”
Trump fares relatively better among men, older voters and white voters.
Indeed, the campaign released a web ad on Wednesday accusing Chaffetz of hypocrisy by appearing to reverse an earlier undertaking that he would abide by Comey’s decision.
As president, Clinton would take executive action to offer a three-month moratorium on student loan payments to all federal loan borrowers. “This proposal combines some of the strongest ideas she fought for during the campaign with some of the principles that I fought for”.
Specifically, she is convinced that Clinton manipulated primary votes, enticed the media to underreport Sanders’ widespread support among constituents and only cares about minorities and issues such as poverty, education and crime when it’s politically expedient.
The endorsement from Mr Sanders looks more likely after Ms Clinton revealed her plan to scrap tuition fees for students attending public in-state colleges and whose parents earn less than $125,000 per year.
Politico reported late Wednesday that Clinton’s college plan peace offering may result in a formal endorsement before the convention, which kicks off July 25.
