One thing that was seemingly absent, were any attacks against Hillary Clinton’s immediate opponent, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

The Democratic mayor of Atlanta criticized Bernie Sanders on Friday for claiming at a recent Democratic debate that race relations would be better if he is president than they are under President Barack Obama.

Now, Lewis says that “in the interest of unity”, he’s clarifying his remarks. Taking a subtle shot at Sanders, Clinton said, “I am not a single-issue candidate, and this is not a single-issue country”, according to the Sun. Sanders responded: “I’ve said black 50 times”.

Sanders, along with his wife Jane and some members of his staff, entered the Victory Missionary Baptist Church after Clinton was already seated and waiting. Video of the killing made national headlines, showing the officer putting a seemingly non-combatant Garner in a chokehold and not letting go even as Garner repeated “I can’t breathe” 11 times.

“Democracy only works when the votes of the people – not the decision of a small number of elites – are what determines the outcome of elections”, the petition reads.

Jackson also said that either candidate’s history or experience pales in comparison to the importance of their current stances on issues that appeal to black voters. “I think the only chance a superdelegate will make a difference is if there isn’t really an obvious preference coming out of the electorate part of the process”.

Sanders and rival Hillary Clinton also appeared at the Democratic Farmer-Labor party’s Humphrey Mondale dinner, where they both made sought to pitch themselves as what the Democratic Party needed. Earlier in the week, Murdoch commented on Gov. Chris Christie’s disappointing showing in the New Hampshire primaries and his pointed criticism of Sen. I support President Obama, but I’m telling you this: “We can do better”. They were working in politics, and Bill Clinton became attorney general of Arkansas in the 1970s as well.

Clinton, who has cast herself as the rightful heir to Obama’s legacy, accused Sanders of diminishing the president’s record. On “Face the Nation”, Sanders says his campaign has closed the gap so he has the momentum, and predicted he would do “quite well” in both Nevada and SC, the next two contests for Democrats.

Bernie Sanders won convincingly in New Hampshire – a state where he had been leading among voters for months. During the first Democratic debate, she answered the question of how her administration would differ from Obama’s with what basically amounted to, “I’m a girl”.
