Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders’ campaigns have agreed in principle to six more Democratic presidential debates following the Iowa caucuses on February 1, though the deal has not been finalized, according to campaign and party officials.

After all, a combined $129 million in television and radio advertising by the campaigns and outside groups backing more mainstream candidates – Florida Sen.
Bernie Sanders will co-sponsor a bill to repeal legal protections for the firearm industry that he’d supported a decade ago, taking another step to undo the political damage of that vote and smooth over his relationship with gun control advocates.
“Now they refuse to take yes for an answer, apparently because they are intent on avoiding a debate in New Hampshire”. Pharmaceutical pricing “burns” her up.
“We’ve never had anyone come out knocking on our door before”, she said. And she promises to “rail away” at any industry that flouts the law.
21-year-old Clinton supporter Katherine Diaz conceded that Sanders has an edge over the former Secretary of State among Democrats at her university. It comes as a new poll released Saturday night by the Des Moines Register and Bloomberg News showed the two candidates locked in a neck-and-neck race.
Quinnipiac found Iowa likely Democratic caucusgoers who describe themselves as “very liberal” back Sanders over Clinton 63 to 32 percent, while self-described “somewhat liberal” voters back Clinton 53 to 40 percent. Already some Democrats have voiced concerns about her message and campaign management, worries that will only grow if she faces dual losses in the first two primary states.
Among likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire, the survey shows Trump with a commanding lead over Cruz, his closest rival.
Iowa was where Clinton was initially stunned in her first bid for the White House in 2008, finishing in a disappointing third behind second-place John Edwards and eventual nominee and Iowa victor Barack Obama.
“We have consistently worked with our campaigns to ensure a schedule that is robust and that allows them to engage with voters in a variety of ways, whether through debates, forums, town halls, but also leaving them the flexibility to attend county fairs and living room conversations in states like Iowa and New Hampshire where direct voter contact matters so much”, she said.
After outlining her pledge to take on guns, Clinton said the “facts cry out for action” and put pressure on voters to turn her call “into a voting issue”.
Clinton is up 3 percentage points in Iowa from earlier this month, and Sanders is up 2 percentage points.
Most of the candidates were scattered across Iowa in a last-chance try to gin up enthusiasm, sharpen attacks and set expectations – all part of efforts to emerge from Monday’s voting with momentum and a slice of the spotlight. “It’s asking a lot of commitment and students might not have the patience”.
Clinton’s supporters cited her long experience and detailed proposals as reasons she should earn the nomination.
“Sen. Sanders is happy to have more debates”, Weaver said Wednesday.
