Clinton Says She Won’t Engage in Name-Calling
Protesters yell as DNC Chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., arrives for a Florida delegation breakfast, Monday, July 25, 2016, in Philadelphia, during the first day of the Democratic National Convention.

The convention is among the campaign’s last chances to recast the personal narrative about Clinton, especially with her favorability ratings dipping further after the Federal Bureau of Investigation director’s criticism of her use of a private email server as secretary of State.
The DNC will be an extended explanation of why Hillary Clinton, like her major-party counterpart Donald Trump, is unacceptable not simply to libertarians but to that plurality of Americans who define themselves as independent, centrist, moderate, or anything other than a dyed-in-the-wool partisan.
Sanders will play a crucial role in determining whether Clinton can calm the tensions.
Clinton explained that there has been a “concerted effort” by Republicans to portray her in a negative light, and described the double standard she believes is set for her as “unfounded, inaccurate, mean-spirited attacks with no basis in truth, reality, which take on a life of their own”.
Among the things people may not know: Clinton’s Methodist faith is “very significant”, Verveer said, citing an influential youth minister who encouraged her to focus on the underserved, including arranging for her to babysit the children of migrant workers while they picked vegetables.
Unlike Trump, who is still shunned by many in the Republican establishment, Clinton will have the help of the Democratic Party’s highest-profile surrogates.
It was Baltimore’s mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who called the 47th Democratic convention to order.
That year Al Gore and George W. Bush both boosted their numbers by an identical 8 points post-convention before ultimately battling all the way to the Supreme Court.
Clinton and Kaine’s interview comes a week after Donald Trump and his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, sat down with 60 Minutes as well. Sanders and his supporters have long argued that the party was on the side of the former secretary of state. Cory Booker, a young black lawmaker and rising Democratic star, and Massachusetts Sen.
Resistance to Clinton was on display during a demonstration Sunday as many thronged to a main thoroughfare and chanted, “Hell no, DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary”. Because we got real serious problems to solve. Clinton promised a stark contrast to the GOP gathering, saying she planned to highlight “success stories” and flesh out details of her proposed policies. “Trump is a bully and a demagogue”.
At an afternoon rally in North Carolina, Clinton said the Democratic convention would offer a more hopeful, positive vision of the country’s future. The correspondence appeared to show top officials at the supposedly neutral Democratic National Committee favoring Hillary Clinton in the presidential primaries against Sanders.
Clinton campaign officials pointed the finger for the hack at Russian military intelligence agencies.
“We don’t have information right now about that, but what we have is a kind of bromance going on between Vladimir Putin and Trump which is distinct from this leak”, Clinton adviser John Podesta said in an MSNBC interview.

Trump dismissed the suggestion in a tweet: “The joke in town is that Russian Federation leaked the disastrous DNC emails, which should never have been written (stupid), because Putin likes me”. “I see it. I understand it”, she said. “This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction, terrorism and weakness”.
