Clinton selects Senator Tim Kaine as running mate
United States senator from Virginia, Tim Kaine, has been nominated by Hillary Clinton as her running mate Friday night for the upcoming USA elections.

In response to Kaine’s alleged boringness, Clinton said “I love that about him”, which probably means she likes people that know their stuff.
The only Arkansas Democrat to serve with Kaine in Washington, former U.S. Sen.
“After spending last week pandering to grassroots Democrats with Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton has chosen someone who holds positions that she’s spent the entire primary trying to get to the left of”, Priebus said.
Kaine, a former governor of Virginia, helped turned that red-leaning state into one that elected two Democratic U.S. senators and pulled levers twice for Obama.

Clinton will formally introduce Kaine as her running mate during a campaign stop at Florida International University in Miami on July 23.
Rep. Raumesh Akbari, 32, who will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Thursday, called it a smart choice.
It’s unlikely that Clinton and Kaine will snag many Republican voters, Herzik said.
Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, a leading contender to be Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s pick for vice president, waves to the crowd before attending a private fundraiser event in Newport, RI hosted by fellow Democratic Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island.
Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee tried to stoke tensions between Clinton and the liberal base that initially flocked to Bernie Sanders, saying that Kaine did “nothing to unify a fractured Democrat base which is repelled by her dishonesty and cronyism”.
Trump also announced the choice of his running mate on Twitter, and followed it up with an announcement the next day at a hotel in midtown Manhattan – a curious choice given the state’s strong Democratic leanings.
“Tim Kaine is enormously capable. very powerful intellect and very easy to work with”, Merkley said. “You don’t want to be the life of the party”, U.S. Rep. Tom Del Becarro, former chairman of the California GOP calls Clinton’s pick predictable.
SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA- Hillary Clinton says in a text message to supporters that she’s picked Virginia Sen. Kaine tweeted. “I’m honored to be her running mate”.
The pair will hit the campaign trail together in Florida on Saturday.
Still, Kaine has liabilities, particularly with progressives.
Flake defended hammering his associates on medium.com writing, “Republicans are not going to defeat Hillary Clinton in November by insisting that she belongs in prison any more than we defeated Barack Obama by pretending that he was born in Kenya”. Kaine is a supporter of free trade deals, and as his vice presidential stock began to rise, many progressive groups voiced their displeasure.
“The most important consideration is his ability to step in as president, and he clearly has the experience, knowledge, intelligence and temperament to do that”, Bucaro said.
The group said that voters are seeking populist candidates.
The convention underscored Trump’s struggle to heal fissures in the Republican Party over his rhetoric on immigration and concerns about his temperament.
From the start, Kaine was a front-runner to join Clinton on the Democratic ticket.
Kaine is not considered a lively speaker who will be the kind of attack dog Clinton may need to combat Trump.
