Clinton tax returns show millions made in speaking and consultation fees
According to the filings, Bill and Hillary Clinton earned $10.7 million in 2015 and paid roughly $3.6 million in federal taxes.

Her running mate Tim Kaine, along with his wife Anne Holton, paid a rate of 20.3%, his returns show. They paid an effective federal tax rate of 34.2 percent, donating 9.8 percent of their income to charity.
Donald Trump has yet to release any tax documents, breaking with 40 years of tradition for presidential candidates.
The Trump campaign says he is not releasing his returns because he is being audited by the IRS.
Trump’s critics have speculated that the real estate tycoon is hiding his tax returns because they may reveal that he has vastly overstated his personal wealth, has unsavory business ties with the Russians, or may be stingy with charitable donations – or some combination thereof.
Trump has said he is now under audit and won’t release the documents until the audit wraps.
“He refuses to do what every other presidential candidate in decades has done and release his tax returns”, she told the crowd.
The Clintons were expected to release their full 2015 tax return on Friday, adding to eight years of returns that Hillary Clinton’s campaign released last year. Yet he’s also refused to release prior returns that would provide information about his income, foreign holdings as well as charitable giving. In 2012, her a year ago at the State Department, he earned more than $16.3 million for 72 speeches. While sure to irk liberal voters for whom Clinton’s ties to powerful corporate and banking interests is cause for suspicion, the lists also give Clinton a peg for her argument that she has nothing to hide.
That’s a dropoff from the couple’s 2014 earnings, when Clintons were criss-crossing the country getting huge fees for speaking engagements.
The Clintons have disclosed tax returns for every year since 1977, in part due to laws requiring public officials release returns.
“Given the catastrophic impact that Donald Trump’s losing presidential campaign will have on down-ballot Senate and House races, we urge you to immediately suspend all discretionary RNC support for Trump and focus the entirety of the RNC’s available resources on preserving the GOP’s congressional majorities”. The 2014 fees came from two education companies: Dubai-based GEMS Education (which the Clinton Global Initiative named as a partner organization in 2010) and Laureate Education, a series of for-profit colleges where Bill Clinton served as chairman from 2010-2015.
With Clinton’s 2015 income taxes, she has now released 39 years worth of tax returns throughout her career, CNN reports. But they seem to have scaled back such income in recent years. Mrs Clinton earned about $3m from book royalties. Factoring in state and local taxes, their effective tax rate was 43.2 percent.
Also, Clinton is exaggerating the number of jobs her policies would create. Bernie Sanders, and Trump have used those speeches to portray Clinton as being chummy with Wall Street.

In those years, they gave 7.5 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity.
