Clinton tears into Trump at journalism conference
In an interview Friday on WISN radio in Wisconsin, Ryan also reiterated that the endorsement he cares about is from his own voters. “At this stage, only that majority can make the unprecedented move of stripping Trump of the nomination”.

House Speaker Paul Ryan says his opponent in Tuesday’s Wisconsin primary is backed by out-of-state interests peddling a “nasty virulent strain of something” that’s not conservatism. While Ryan is expected to prevail, Paul Nehlen blasted him this week for his “repeated betrayal” of the party’s nominee.
“As Donald Trump has said stupid things and been rude to so many people over the past year, I usually chalked it up to inexperience and the spotlight of an incredibly hostile press”, Vos wrote. “My hunch is that Ryan’s brand name back home is strong enough to withstand the waffling, particularly in a district that went for Cruz not Trump”.
Hillary Clinton says President Barack Obama isn’t getting the credit he deserves for leading the nation out of a crippling recession.
“The economy the media and the Clinton Machine is describing is an economy that doesn’t exist for most Americans”, Trump said.
“Donald Trump is a threat to the survival of the Republic. So you know I’m just going to rise above this stuff, and I’m not going to get involved in some sort of petty back and forth, I see no objective in doing that”. The tension between Ryan and Trump caused deep frustration among party leaders and lawmakers.
He has refused to admit any error, however, on a higher-profile dispute with an American Muslim family whose son, U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, was killed in Iraq. “Period.” In the same statement, Ryan said he rejects any “religious litmus test for entering our country”, another swipe at Trump.
Trump earlier this week refused to endorse Ryan, telling The Washington Post he was “not quite there yet” – almost the same phrase Ryan had used about Trump before finally endorsing him. “I was just – I’m full on with the Trump campaign”. State Senator Jennifer Beck (R-11) was a supporter of Ohio Governor John Kasich’s presidential run.
None of the top-ranking Wisconsin Republicans are attending the Trump event.
“He’s a good man, and he’s a good guy”, Trump said.
At a rally Friday evening in Green Bay, Wis., Trump appeared uneasy as he read prepared remarks endorsing Ryan, but he grinned and flashed two thumbs up as the crowd cheered.
The campaign’s rift with the Republican establishment also goes beyond Ryan.
Hedge fund managers John Paulson and Steve Feinberg; anti-tax advocacy group Club for Growth’s Stephen Moore; and David Malpass, who has served under previous Republican administrations in the Treasury and State Departments, were also named. And Pence, asked on NBC Thursday whether he backed the pair in their primaries, demurred.
Trump economic adviser Stephen Moore told Reuters that the candidate’s plan would focus on four areas: tax, deregulation, energy policy and trade.

Clinton had repeatedly said she never sent emails containing classified material, a finding that Comey contradicted at the conclusion of the FBI’s probe in July, when he rebuked her for “extremely careless” handling of classified information while recommending that no criminal charges be filed.
