Biden, speaking in his hometown on his first campaign stop of 2016 alongside Clinton, sought to appeal to working-class voters, while also blasting the Republican presidential nominee on foreign policy.
In his first campaign appearance with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Mr Biden, who decided not to make a third presidential bid previous year, also said that Mr Trump was indifferent to the needs of Americans.
Biden was born in Scranton as was Clinton’s father Hugh Rodham.

Biden reminded the audience that Republicans in national security have criticized Trump’s statements, and that Trump has encouraged other countries to develop nuclear weapons.
The business tycoon also vowed to destroy Daesh (ISIL) terrorists but accused President Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton of paving the way for the terrorists to grow.
Trump has since said he was being sarcastic in accusing Obama of founding the Islamic State.
Trump is a cynic who lacks empathy for those in trouble, Biden said. “I want to stress that his name appears there not just once, but we can not say if he physically received the money assigned to him, as there are other signatures near his name”.
“This guy’s shame has no limits”, the vice president said.
“Ladies and gentlemen, does he have any idea of the adverse consequences these comments have on our allies, our friends and the physical safety of our troops?”
As he finished, Biden turned to Clinton and raised Clinton’s arm as the crowd cheered.
“America can be defined in one single word: possibilities”, he said. The family spent summers at a family cabin in nearby Lake Winola, she said. They also wore shirts displaying an image of Mr. Trump.

While the fundraiser was private, Clinton’s speech was audible from a nearby street. That makes Biden’s pitch important in cementing her already large statewide lead of 48-37, with a goal of shutting down Trump’s path to the White House.
