Clinton to stress American exceptionalism in Ohio
The Washington Post reported that, if not for Trump, Clinton would be the most unpopular major-party presidential nominee in modern United States history.

The Democratic nominee’s speech will come hours before Trump plans to give a long-awaited speech in Arizona on his immigration stances, which appear to have softened in recent days. Just 55 percent of Hispanics surveyed, meanwhile, said they viewed the former first lady favorably – a drop from 71 percent earlier this month.
The Democratic presidential nominee tried to appeal to a range of ideologies, casting the United States as an exceptional nation and touting America’s “unique ability” to lead around the world. She will also emphasize the growing list of Republicans who have backed her campaign.
“In contrast, the official said Clinton “will make the case” for it and call for maintaining America’s military and diplomatic leadership in the world”.
A campaign official said that in advance of her Wednesday speech, another leading Republican would back the campaign. In a statement, Clad will say that “giving an incoherent amateur the keys to the White House this November will doom us to second or third-class status”. While he leads by 7 points in Western New York, she is cleaning up in New York City. The fundraising swing concluded in style Tuesday night, with an event featuring performances from Jimmy Buffett, Jon Bon Jovi and Paul McCartney.
Donald Trump needs a new state in play, and it looks like he may be getting one.
“It’s not in the bag for her yet”, the polling director at Monmouth University, Patrick Murray, told The Hill.
Hillary Clinton obliquely criticized Donald Trump’s surprise foray into foreign affairs on Wednesday, saying in a speech to the American Legion in OH that building alliances and coalitions takes more than a “photo op”. “And who knows what that might be”. Half of those who voted for Ohio Gov. John Kasich (49%), who won the NY, N.Y. district, say they will vote for Gov. Johnson juxtaposed to 25% for Mr. Trump. Or when, in discussion of the raid on bin Laden, Clinton slipped in a mention of how American forces did not use this occasion as an excuse to take revenge on his family members.
President Barack Obama won the state by 7 points in the 2012 presidential race against Republican nominee former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Brian Katulis, a national-security analyst at the liberal Center for American Progress think tank in Washington, said Clinton’s remarks were in line with “a bipartisan consensus about how we can best keep America safe and secure”.

The Clinton campaign also released a web video on Wednesday that accused Trump of lying about his trip to Mexico and sarcastically called him the “Great Negotiator”. “Most voters think we should focus on the home front”.
