Clinton to target Trump’s Atlantic City record
Clinton’s speech in front of the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City came at perhaps the lowest point in her campaign, after FBI Director James Comey delivered a blistering rebuke of her use of sensitive material while Secretary of State, handing Trump’s camp considerable ammunition for the long election battle ahead. Bob Corker says he has withdrawn his name as a possible running mate for Donald Trump.

Between 1991, the first full year of the Trump Taj Mahal’s operation, and 2004, the year Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts filed for bankruptcy, employment at Trump’s three casinos fell from 12,757 to 10,206, a 20 percent decline.
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is coming on Wednesday to Atlantic City to bash Donald Trump over his management of his former casino empire in the 1980s and ’90s.
Hillary Clinton is heading to Donald Trump’s old playground to attack the presumptive Republican nominee tomorrow.
His name is still atop the Taj Mahal, but the property belongs to his friend Carl Icahn, the billionaire businessman magnate.
“He doesn’t default and bankrupt as a last resort; he does it over and over again on goal”, Clinton said.
“If the governor would do his job instead of following Trump around they could turn this city around”.
“Hillary Clinton is for labor and the working people”, said the day one employee of the Taj.
Trump, however, has defended his handling of his business in Atlantic City, saying he was very successful there and employed thousands of workers.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton criticized Republican rival Donald Trump in a rally on Wednesday in Atlantic City, New Jersey, saying he “cannot do the job for American workers and businesses”. “So it’s fair to ask, since he is applying for a job, what in the world happened here?”
“He bankrupted his companies not once, not twice, but four times”, she said.
Democratic strategist Steve Elmendorf said Clinton needs to move quickly to get past the email episode and talk about issues central to her campaign.
Clinton sought to draw attention to her middle class origins, declaring, “As a daughter of a small businessman whose hard work sent me to college, I have a special place in my heart for the contractors, the craftsmen, and the shopkeepers who built this city and keep it going”. During that pause, Sanders was booed, according to a Democrat who attended the session and spoke on condition of anonymity to freely discuss the meeting.
During their private meeting, House Democrats voiced frustration with Sanders’ slow-moving support for Clinton, shouting “timeline, timeline” at the Vermont senator.
In Connecticut, the state’s share of slot-machine revenues from the casinos has dropped from a peak of $430 million in the 2007 fiscal year to less than $270 million in the just-completed fiscal year. “Pols made big mistakes, now many bankruptcies”, Trump tweeted in response. “When the Taj opened, it decimated the market for a period of two years”.

While Clinton has received ringing endorsements from President Barak Obama, who joined her on the campaign trail Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation finding is unlikely to strengthen her ratings when it comes to trustworthiness.
