Clinton to Trump: My military endorsements are bigger than yours

9/11 Day, a nonprofit organization aiming to establish September 11 as a federally-recognized national day of service and remembrance, asked each of the principal presidential candidates – Clinton, Republican nominee Donald Trump, Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein – to “suspend all campaign activity” to honor the day.

Clinton was responding in an Israel Channel 2 interview to a question about why she does not use the term “war on radical Islam” favored by Trump and other conservatives.

No, it probably doesn’t!

“Even though I was six, I knew that was insane, because I didn’t have any sisters … and I knew that as an only child, I got the first and last word on my mom as a mom”, she said. “A smart campaign would have reasonable third party raising those questions in a respectful way”.

Clinton’s remarks also prompted an enraged rebuke from the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign. Meanwhile, not only the nominee but the party chair is on team screw subtlety.

Some establishment Republicans are fretting over Donald Trump’s sexist attacks on Hillary Clinton, not that they can change anything. Experts inside and outside the government have pointed to Russian-backed actors as the source of the hack, which has been used to leak information in an attempt to embarrass Democrats.

Trump campaign press secretary Hope Hicks suggested in a statement that the campaign did not know the interview was going to be broadcast on RT.

In the national security forum on Wednesday night, the two sought to portray themselves as most fit to be commander in chief, with Trump arguing that Putin is a better leader than Obama.

“It’s just one more massive failure from a failed secretary of state”, Trump said. “The man has very strong control over a country”, Trump said at the forum.

Trump and his running mate, Indiana Governor Mike Pence, defended the comment.

“Putin is an aggressor that does not share our interests”.

Clinton’s campaign also announced on Friday that an additional 15 retired USA generals and admirals were endorsing her, bringing the total number of endorsements by retired military leaders to 110.

On Tuesday, 88 retired generals and admirals endorsed Trump. Johnson is closer with 9 percent of support.
