“No one in the world thinks he has a shot in CT”, said former Romney strategist Stuart Stevens, according to the same Politico report.

It’s those kinds of moments that lead experienced Republicans to think Trump can not be saved from himself.

Doubling down on his assertion Wednesday that President Barack Obama is “the founder of ISIS” and Clinton its “co-founder”, Trump rejected any suggestion he might tamp down his rhetoric as Election Day closes in. “Until he gets help and admits it, he won’t be able to change”.

“Why be fake?” she asked.

Originally the media followed Trump because of his charismatic and entertainment-like figure.

“On Election Day, Pennsylvania is going to be won here in central and western Pennsylvania”, Shuster said, “because these people are going to get out and vote”. Thomson also said she expected the party to “strong arm” those who support the effort into removing that support after the fact, but she said the group will continue to fight for a different nominee until all of their options are exhausted.

“I hope the Republicans are watching closely”, he said.
