Clinton, Trump escalate fight on security

In a wide-ranging interview that aired Thursday evening, Trump spoke with journalist Larry King about the presidential race, American intervention in Iraq and the Middle East, and the potential intrusion by Russian hackers into Democratic Party databases.

When King asked about reports that us intelligence agencies are investigating whether Russian Federation is trying to disrupt the election, Trump said that he’s skeptical.

The Republican nominee said Schlafly was “there for me when it was not at all fashionable”.

Donald Trump has arrived at the funeral of conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly.

The difference between what Clinton said in the Channel 2 interview and what she said at the fundraiser is that, on Friday, she estimated the size of Trump’s base (“half”) that is both “irredeemable” and “deplorable”.

Trump himself tweeted: “Wow, Hillary Clinton was SO INSULTING to my supporters, millions of unbelievable, hard working people”.

In a statement on Saturday, Ms Clinton apologised for having been “grossly generalistic”, explaining: “I regret saying “half” – that was wrong”.

“Wow, Hillary Clinton was SO INSULTING to my supporters, millions of wonderful, hard working people”.

Trump’s political opponent, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, has criticized Trump for weeks for alleged relations between Trump’s associates and Russian business people.

“That other basket of people are people who feel that government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures”, she said.

The ad was released a day after Clinton touted the support she had received from national security leaders in a brief press conference.

“Hillary, they are not a basket of anything”.

As a newcomer to politics, Trump has used colorful language in the past to describe fervent support for him.

Clinton’s campaign found itself explaining the remark after her speech, while Trump’s campaign attempted to capitalize on what it considered a major gaffe.

But the other basket – and I know this because I see friends from all over America here – I see friends from Florida and Georgia and SC and Texas, as well as, you know, NY and California – but that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they’re just desperate for change.

“There’s no question that hurt and did real damage to my campaign”, he said.

The central committee also heard from Trump’s son Eric, who said he and his family plan to spend a lot of time campaigning in Ohio.

Schlafly died Monday at age 92.

“Hillary Clinton answered email questions differently last night than she has in the past”, he said.

Hillary Clinton has called Donald Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables”, comments that sparked anger from her Republican rival for the White House and quickly went viral. Trump’s outreach to the racist, sexist, xenophobic, Islamaphobic community is pretty obvious and hardly needs any further evidence.
