Clinton, Trump tied as voters demand change — but also competence
Among all registered voters, 61% said they felt Trump was not the GOP’s best pick to be the nominee, while, overall, 59% said the same of Clinton.

“This is not what the American people are talking about”, Pence said, calling it a “sidebar debate” Trump is no longer interested in having.
The Trump campaign defended those comments as a call for increased political activity, but the Clinton campaign said unequivocally that Trump’s comments were “dangerous” and irresponsible for a presidential candidate to make.
Clinton’s lack of transparency, again made a relatively small incident into a PR big deal.
Kaine said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that “it’s on our shoulders” to make the case to millennials that Clinton stands with them on those issues.
She went on: “But if that sometimes is the perception I create, then I can’t blame people for thinking that”.
In last week’s poll, 35.6 percent said they would support Clinton, up from 28.6 percent in July.
While 51 percent said they agreed with the statement that Clinton’s pneumonia was a a problem because of disclosure, not with her health, another 49 percent disagreed. Clinton laid out her plan earlier in the campaign.
Her campaign and outside groups helping her have spent about $14 million on general election TV and radio ads through this week, according to Kantar Media’s political ad tracker.
Pence said, “I understand your perspective on it”.
The Obama-Clinton foreign policy has included unenforced “red lines” in Syria; dismissing ISIS as a “jayvee team” while allowing it to grow into the most unsafe terrorist organization in the world today; weakening our border security; admitting thousands of refugees into our country without any plans to properly screen them; reducing the size and strength of our military, and rewarding Iran – the world’s largest state-sponsor of terrorism – with a sweetheart deal that paves the way for economic recovery and the eventual achievement of nuclear weapons capability. I think that her bodyguards should disarm, right? In fact, Clinton has not challenged the constitutional right to bear arms, despite calling for some stronger gun control measures.
While campaigning in South Florida, which has a large Cuban-American population, Mr Trump said if he is elected president, he will reverse Mr Obama’s efforts to normalise relations with Cuba – unless the country abides by certain “demands”.
“When you look at a series of these comments that he’s making, I do believe it is an incite or at a minimum an expression of indifference to whether violence would occur”, he said.
Trump must find a way to turn out a wave of white supporters who are infrequent voters.
Trump told the crowd he employed many people at his resorts in the Miami area – “a lot of African American employees, a lot of Hispanic employees”.
Chris Christie argued on Sunday that Donald Trump did not frequently question for years the validity of President Barack Obama’s United States birthplace, though Trump pedaled the discredited conspiracy theory claiming Obama was not born in Hawaii since Obama’s first term.
He blamed a Clinton aide for saying that Clinton herself pushed questions about Obama’s birthplace during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.
As a matter of fact, while there are slight indications that some Clinton supporters embraced the idea of birtherism, several investigations by journalists have demonstrated that the Clinton campaign and Clinton herself had absolutely nothing to do with it.
The difference between the candidates is partly driven by Trump’s disdain for conventional campaign methods, contrasted with Clinton’s more traditional approach.
“Sidney Blumenthal has categorically denied that, but Sidney’s not running for president”.
I do not believe that Trump has any interest in actually being president.
